I have just checked on the met office website and Liverpool's last 7 home games have been played in windier than normal days.

Very rare for me to agree with Kash but on this occasion he's not wrong.

That felt weird.

Can I just add that having no fans has effected us badly too. Our results at OT have been shocking mostly.

We'd have probably won quite a few of those that we've drawn with fans roaring us on.

It's just not your season. In fact other than City, who have two very good 11's, nobody has really coped well with this season. And even City had a stuttering start let's not forget.

Football back to normal next season hopefully and I can't wait.

Agreed having had the pleasure of a few games at OT I agree it will have had an impact on your team as well

Personally I don't think either last season's title or this season's should count.

I admire the post but no excuses sorry. Not even under Roy we lost 5 home games in a row and were this poor. Klopp got 1 more season for me to turn this around.

“Good players” don’t let Roy Keane hear you say that!

The no fans excuse may be vid for the odd gsme but not an entire set of games.

We were top at xmas and fans again were not in thw stadium for the majority of the games. In fact there were some fans in the stadium for the wba game which started this mess of a run.

Using that excuse is not valid imo. Injuries however is another story.

No fans in the stadium hurts LLLLLiverpool more than other teams. Heard Carragher trotting this one out last night, what an absolute load of bollox that is. Typical arrogant excuse making “this means more” bullsheite from factions of the LLLLLiverpool arrse licking media and their entitled fans. Didn’t seem to be touted as a problem when they were winning every home game without fans throughout most of 2020, suddenly they lose a few games and it’s ‘let’s not forget this is worse for them than anyone else’. Total and utter bollox, cry me a facking river.

Fans is a contributing factor, but certainly not THE reason.

posted on 5/3/21

As other Liverpool posters have said. It is sheee arrogance and incorrect to suggest that fans affect Liverpool more than other teams.

Ludicrous statement

Lash’s posts were bang on.

It’s a terrible run and a huge lack of confidence coupled with bad injuries mostly focused in one area. Your front three are not firing also.

It’s a strange drop off for sure but Covid, no fans, injuries, stubborn klopp, poor investment in January and huge confidence issues are the reason.

Next year most of these will be gone you’ll be back to top 3 I’m sure.

People are crazy man

We must be the only team in the league affected by no fans

Assuming you have never been to anfield then you won’t appreciate the importance of having a full stadium. The unbeaten run was in part down to the presence of fans - who are regarded as some of the most passionate in Europe .
Hope that helps explain it
----------------------------------------------------------------------
I’ve said this before to Kash. Without fans the 4-0 v Barca just doesn’t happen.

from one of the few clubs that's actually been allowed fans in this season...no doubt being allowed them for a month or two and then not being allowed them has hit them harder than any other club in the world
----------------------------------------------------------------------
There was clamour on these very pages that it was unfair that Liverpool were allowed to have 2000 fans in while other grounds weren’t.

Some of the same people saying no fans is an excuse.

Guess some will kick at anything when down.

When the players are down.. which they are, the fans provide the lift for them.

When you have a manager in Klopp who is usually in sync with the crowd it will affect more.

This is a weakness for Klopp that he cannot be a dispassionate and ultimately calculating for perfection. Heavy metal he called it and its bang on.

Yeah this year is a blip on the whole.
I trust Klopp to get us back on track.

What about the defeat to Atletico Madrid.

Was Anfield empty?

Ive no problems getting behind the injuries has killed our season argument because its a fact it has.

But no fans in the stadium is grasping at straws a bit. As somone who gets to his fair share of games every season, the atmosphere at anfield for the majority of our premier league games is no better or worse than anywhere else. Yes we know how to ratchet the noise levels up when the big boys come to town but games against west brom, burnley and brighton, where we have dropped 8 points the atmosphere would have been at best average, even with a full house.

Not having that 1.

absolutely no fan of any club/sport in the world would claim that fans make no difference at all.

every fan of every PL club knows that it makes a difference...but that's the point, it makes a difference to everyone, not just to liverpool.

so what is laughable - though oh so typical - is any claim that it somehow affects you more than others, that the anfield crowd is more special than other crowds, that your players/manager "feed off" the crowd in a way that others don't, that's just silly.

When we are losing a game the fans provide that lift to players.
When things are fine and players playing well, they’re ok don’t need the lift.

We go a goal down, they don’t get the lift from where they would normally expect.
We are in a rut at the moment no question.
