We must be the only team in the league affected by no fans
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Assuming you have never been to anfield then you won’t appreciate the importance of having a full stadium. The unbeaten run was in part down to the presence of fans - who are regarded as some of the most passionate in Europe .
Hope that helps explain it
----------------------------------------------------------------------
I’ve said this before to Kash. Without fans the 4-0 v Barca just doesn’t happen.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Every club have had games where they needed fans atmosphere to win a game. We are no different and it does not excuse 5 losses in a row plus 2 draws and 1 penalty being scored since Mane scored in the 9th minute against West Brom before Xmas.

Who had ‘no fans’ on excuses bingo?
----------------------------------------------------------------------
from one of the few clubs that's actually been allowed fans in this season...no doubt being allowed them for a month or two and then not being allowed them has hit them harder than any other club in the world
----------------------------------------------------------------------
There was clamour on these very pages that it was unfair that Liverpool were allowed to have 2000 fans in while other grounds weren’t.

Some of the same people saying no fans is an excuse.

Guess some will kick at anything when down.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
absolutely no fan of any club/sport in the world would claim that fans make no difference at all.

every fan of every PL club knows that it makes a difference...but that's the point, it makes a difference to everyone, not just to liverpool.

so what is laughable - though oh so typical - is any claim that it somehow affects you more than others, that the anfield crowd is more special than other crowds, that your players/manager "feed off" the crowd in a way that others don't, that's just silly.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
They do though. You’re telling me that without the crowd Liverpool win 4-0 v Barca?
Or come down from 3-0 v Milan?

Yeah ok(!)

It’s not just feeding off the crowd, it’s also the intimidatory factor for away teams.

When your lot came and Fellaini had to look at the Kop when lining up - you’d already lost that game.

The crowd at Anfield is definitely part of the attraction at LFC for players.

So fans do make a difference then.

If we go a goal down do the crowd walk out or do they rally the team?

Klopp was laughed at for it, but going to the crowd after getting a draw v West Brom showed the crowd and the world how important the crowd was to the team.

Players playing crap - no crowd to lift them as they were previously used to for 4 years.

Ive no problems getting behind the injuries has killed our season argument because its a fact it has.

But no fans in the stadium is grasping at straws a bit. As somone who gets to his fair share of games every season, the atmosphere at anfield for the majority of our premier league games is no better or worse than anywhere else. Yes we know how to ratchet the noise levels up when the big boys come to town but games against west brom, burnley and brighton, where we have dropped 8 points the atmosphere would have been at best average, even with a full house.

Not having that 1.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
When we are losing a game the fans provide that lift to players.
When things are fine and players playing well, they’re ok don’t need the lift.

We go a goal down, they don’t get the lift from where they would normally expect.
We are in a rut at the moment no question.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
But thats the same for every team in the league. Thats just what fans do. Thats my point we are no more or less advantaged than any other club in that regard. The raucous anfield atmosphere cannot be used in our favour over other sides as the reality is that raucous atmosphere is usually only on show for about 6 games in the premier league. When the big guns and everton come to play.

How come city only won the league after being bankrolled by a country?

Is that a coincidence? Does it take the sense of achievement away?

No it wasn’t empty, however with worse teams we had never lost 5 home games in a row.
So the crowd factor does play a big part in that.

City have never been bankrolled by a country.

However we had won the league prior to 2008.

I imagine we have our accounts scrutinized more than any other PL club both here and in Europe yet you persist with this boring narrative.

Dunno why you’re all moaning, you’re hardly in the relegation spots, you’re 7th fgs

Get your act together for the remaining 11 games and Europa league is easily achievable

No fans in the stadium hurts LLLLLiverpool more than other teams. Heard Carragher trotting this one out last night, what an absolute load of bollox that is. Typical arrogant excuse making “this means more” bullsheite from factions of the LLLLLiverpool arrse licking media and their entitled fans. Didn’t seem to be touted as a problem when they were winning every home game without fans throughout most of 2020, suddenly they lose a few games and it’s ‘let’s not forget this is worse for them than anyone else’. Total and utter bollox, cry me a facking river.

This is the lunatic that’s always whining about other people ruining the site, and yet he frequently posts utter drivel like this. He’s just a bi polar feckwit.....
