The quality of play was much worse in the win vs Boro than it was today but Rooney seems to be wanting to tinker a bit and it isn't working. The pitch was bobbly today so it might have been a day to boot it long and go from there until the game opened up enough to play through the midfield.

Nah, too risky, but I am going to the get a haircut at the same place as half our team.

I think Roo is trying to be more expansive but we just don't seem to understand how to. Which is why Watson impressed me so much, intelligence off the ball, making space and even telling Joz to run into the space he just made for him (Joz didn't but that's not the point).

Think for Roo it's the dilemma of trying to get this team to level up or just stick to defensive shape, huff n puff n nick one.

I lean towards leveling up but that drop zone is close and administration for me still seems to be looming.

Wish Canada has a B&Q

Rooney seems to have fallen into the same trap as Cocu and our team is too crap.

What trap is that Scouts. We didn't play possession football at all too busy losing the ball and chasing players who we didn't know if we should be marking or not.

Cocu ball would have worked very well as a tactic against Coventry I'd have thought, against Forest, Wycombe n Covidham not so much.
