Can't quite figure out if Jose not taking up the right positions or the quality of the balls in to him isn't good enough, either way the understanding isn't there yet. And he's not quick or strong enough to make his own chances in this league.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
In recent games we’ve seen Saiss and Coady miss absolute sitters. Fabio has recently missed three good chances. Traore and Neto have both missed half chances. So we have created chances.
For Jose as a centre forward to not even look like getting a chance, let alone put one away is pretty amazing. 9 games he’s played now. Maybe he needs time but the reason we signed him was to have someone that could land running to replace Fabio who wasn’t ready
I think for whatever reason Jose just doesn't fancy it. Maybe he just wants to be in Spain.
I always thought Rafa Mir was hard done by at Wolves and never got a chance to prove his worth. Loan spell didn't help at Nottingham Forest either, but when he went back to Spain he improved and helped Huesca to promotion last season. They look as though they may well go down straight away and he is due to return in June when his contract expires. Huesca have the option to buy, so unless Nuno has a change of heart, I see him staying in Spain. Only watched one of his games recently, but as we have Spanish football over here, I'll try and watch him again if their matches are shown.
Would be surprised if Huesca can afford him to be honest. We probably had a decent fee in place and they would perhaps have met it if they remained in the top flight. Would like to think we will at least take a look at him in the summer assuming Huesca don't meet the valuation.

Whilst he hasn't looked the part it seems to me that he is not getting any setups. There was something in a recent game where Neto had worked a great opportunity to set him but passed it backwards.
I had the feeling that they did not want to play with him. Perhaps its a Portuguese thing.
i've had the feeling that other players are not looking to pass to him even when he's in a good position.
The next preview thread must be a good one, Gem's clearly taking his time to ensure it's a classic.
Incredible how devoid of confidence and energy Liverpool are now after losing that unbeaten home run, that defeat to Burnley on the back of only drawing with Albion really seems to have burst their bubble. They have been better away though so we shouldn't expect an easy ride, beating West Ham & Spurs 1-3 recently.

similar at dortmund as i remember - top 2 for a few seasons then a slump to low table, then resignation due to" stress and overwork."

Well Mr C&P, at least no-one gets the chance to read my posts on the BBC Sport website the day before I post them
You want a preview post? Then a preview post you shall have
The demise of Liverpool is almost unprecedented given how they ran away with the league last season. They’ve certainly had a terrible run of injuries to central defenders that has left them playing midfielders out of position there for most of the season and that has knocked on to weakening the midfield
But the most surprising thing to me is that their front three of Salah, Mane and Firmino have completely lost their form. Maybe Diogo will brighten up their attacking now he is fit but they have failed to score in 6 of the last 7 home games now. Unfortunately the game next week is at Molineux and they’ve been much better away
