City offside goal vs Villa by far the worst. The next day the rules got changed so if another team scored the same goal, it would be offside.

Corruption!

The penalty for this 'handball' that saw the rule changed.. which somehow got changed back? I don't know anymore.

Trent sitting down and Calvert Lewin running into him to win a pen.

Yeah got to be the the one given against Eric Dier - so bad they changed the rules in under a week afterwards.

The other terrible one was the Brighton goal against Spurs at the Lane - they somehow failed to give Spurs a free kick after Hojbjerg was scythed down - despite reviewing it

I very much doubt that if the ref did give one like Diers today VAR would turn it over.

The worst one ever for me also happened at home to Newcastle but the season before. Kane was taken out at waste height in the box and the ref didn't give it, I remember thinking that God for VAR they can't not overrule that decision but unbelievably they didn't.

What made it even worse was that apparently the ref said he couldn't give it as he couldn't see the incident clearly. Thats fair enough as long as VAR (which can clearly see it) tells the ref its nailed on but for some reason they didn't.

I was furious for days as it was in the early days of VAR and my expectations were far higher than they now are. It didn't help that we lost 0-1.

I really hope that Newcastle are relegated as they always manage to take undeserved points off us at the Lane.

Fed up with var articles. Since it’s introduction are more correct decisions being made - yes. That’s all that matters. Arguing the toss over the few debatable ones doesn’t change that.

What about Soucek getting sent off against Fulham for violent conduct when he was simply trying to move his arm out of the way?

They always seem to mug us at the Lane - Krul used to have absolute worldies against us.

However, we always tend to pump them at St James

What VAR has highlighted is that the officiating of a game is still based on perception rather than absolutely black and white rules.

10 years time it will be a computer running VAR and it will see everything and will be black and white in its decisions - no grey area

That was a disgrace, we didn't even get the free kick!?

In all my years of following Spurs thats the one game where I could forgive the players for downing tools.

Its impossible not to wonder what the point is after a decision like that.

Prickford allowed to end a career of VVD because he was offside so escaped the red.

The worst has to be pickford not getting red card against Van Dijk.

What about Werner's goal against Liverpool, all he does is put his arm out to run forward,a normal physical thing to do, just like Bamfords and numerous others !

VAR has taken the one ingredient out of the game that hasn't been mentioned,.....

Common sense !

Not this season but the one that always sticks out in the memory was Fernandes’ leg breaking challenge against Villa that got him a penalty. Genuinely unbelievable decision

This season I’d go with the Bamford offside. So many wrong offsides drawn with crooked lines but that one just took the piiss.

This I reckon as it's not even remotely subjective.
