Why are water cannon out of fashion in this country? They hate getting their hair and shoes wet - would've done the trick.

Aye they're caught in the middle. Daft law or not is not theirs to debate. I suspect they made the token arrests so they could be seen to appease both sides?

School swimming

So many opportunities for mishap of all sorts - forgotten kit, 'sir, why all these lassies no doing it?', the walk to the place, the changing 3 to a cubicle, the leery teacher, the mad 10 minutes of violence and attempted drownings before the stress got too much for them, the towel fights, the boy who's eczema decided to erupt....

Ah, memories of freezing yer butt at Woodside, Whiteinch and Church Street - the latter that still holds the record for having more trees than the Amazon

Had two good mates from up your way, Zach. One lived right beside Cranhill Secondary and the other at Barlanark at the cross. Both came to my school to do a 6th year because they didn't have one at Cranhill and they were the only two that wanted to do it

It was the lagoon in Paisley for me. Only a couple if hundred metres from my high school. Thankfully the PE teacher who took us there was a good teacher and football coach.

The pool had a wave machin every 15 minutes and the place turned to carnage. Like Lord of the Flies for 5 minutes.
