Worst ref performance I ever saw was about two weeks ago involving wolves, prior to that it was the week before that and prior to that two games before that. The corruption in the premier league is truly astounding, United and Liverpool lead the charge.

Stop talking out of your ar$e you blithering idiot.

There's definitely no referee corruption in the mould of Ovrebo for Christ sake. Were they intimidated by Ferguson and united crowd, yes.

It is convenient how the result of that match got UEFA the Messi vs. Ronaldo final that was the draw at the time, while at the same time avoiding a 2nd all English final in a row that wouldn't have gone down well.

We'll never know, but UEFA did get what they'd ideally of wanted, that's undeniable.

Probably the worst performance from a referee I've seen. It seemed worse that poor decisions.

TOOR I assume that you are referring to Ovrebo on that night and if so, then I totally agree with your findings. I have had convos with many people who normally don't like Chelsea and even they have said that what they saw that night actually angered them.

It is all down to a primitive brain reaction.
When two sets of rival fans watch the same game, in the frontal and subcortical regions of the brain – including areas known to be active in reward, self-identity and control of movement – there is a correlation between supporters of the same team, but significant differences between the groups. This is what allows fans of rival teams to develop a different understanding of the same game.

An example:

During the 2018 World Cup, when England played Colombia, English fans complained loudly about the number of fouls called against their team. Meanwhile, in South America, a formal petition was circulated demanding a rematch because of what Colombian fans felt was clear bias against their team by the referees.

So all that happened is Chelsea fans and the English (basically everyone apart from the only non-biased person - me) saw it as Chelsea being cheated. But simple psychological studies prove that your viewpoint is in fact incorrect and suggests that I am the only one with a valid viewpoint on the game itself.

there has been many many worse teferee performances than Ovrebo.

Portogal had 4 FOUR gols wrongly dis-aloud v England 1966 wc semi final.
in the finale, all 4 FOUR England gols shuddabeen dis-aloud

these just off top of my head

Blows me away that anyone can watch the premier league and walk away thinking that there isn't a clear bias toward the bigger clubs.

Rattin getting sent off for 'violence of the tongue' despite the ref not speaking Spanish was a particularly special moment

i think switching the location of the semi final from Liverpool 2 London without telling the Portogese until a few hours b4 kickoff so they hade too travel across hole country instead of preparing.

England 'strangely' had stayed in London the hole time
