That explains it then. In my defence I was half asleep when I posted it.

Not overly a big fan of video games to movie or tv shows.
Theres been a few decent ones (quite enjoyed the first resident evil movie before it started to get trash with all the sequels. To be honest though I think certain games are better suited to tv shows than movie. The last of us could be interesting.

I think game worlds are ripe for story telling in films and tv shows. Rather than try to base something on the exact same story the game had, create a brand new story in the world the game is set with new characters, places etc and possibly have references to previous things that happened in the games

Otherwise you are just watching something you've played through before and its not as immersive (plus cramping a 40 hour game story into two hours will definitely not help

Crash Bandicoot movie will be here before we know it.

Ghost of Tsushima has potential to be a brilliant movie though.

This is great, they should do this more often. Lots of games could make great movies or TV shows.

I like Tom Holland. Uncharted should suit him.

Assassins Creed was one of the worst movies I've ever seen though, and it really shouldn't have been from all the material they have to work with.

I agree. Highly anticipated by me but was underwhelming and forgettable. World of warcraft was better but still room for improvement.

A lot of the criticism of him as Nathan is that he doesn’t look like the Nathan people know at the end of Uncharted 4, even though he’s playing Nathan when he was young

I haven't played Uncharted 4 and yeah, Holland looks nothing like Nathan.but he's got the standing and skill to nail the role IMO.

I watched Cherry yesterday and I thought Holland was great in that.

Uncharted 4 is one of the best games of the last generation imo.

I don't get much time to play games where I am with my career at the moment but I'm in no rush.

Uncharted 4... I'll be seeing you one day, hopefully soon.

If they made it a silent movie it could work.

A movie on the mongol invasion of Japan isint a bad idea... trying to limit the story off the bat by wedging a 40+ video game story into it is though.

I'm honestly struggling to think of ANY video game adaption which has been a good movie.
