They were both before my time too, but like you, I've seen them both many times
Number 2 : Stephen Hendry v Steve James QF 1991, James won 13-11, brilliant performance, Hendry was starting to dominate, thought at last it's Jimmy's year, but then Parrott had the session of his life to lead Jimmy 7-0..Jimmy never recovered, & as we know, never got the title...
Thanks for mentioning that one
You liked Jimmy too didn't you Arsenal
I did a little bit yes although during the Scottish players Championship final in 2004 I wanted Paul Hunter to beat him and was a little gutted Hunter lost the final. He was my 2nd favourite at the time but I was still pleased for Jimmy.
But not happy with how 1991 ended, JP world champ
Yep would have prefered Jimmy to have won it in 1991 and also 1984.
Nope sorry wouldn't have taken Hendry losing any of those World finals.
I would lol, he deserved 90, & 93, & the finals with Bond, Ebdon & Williams, but Jimmy should have a couple
At the end of the day Jimmy White is not the people's champion. He's the people's chump sorry couldn't refrain.
I agree, he should have retired 10 years ago, & even 10 years ago was too late, Hendry won 10 frames in a row, White had no answer, 1994, White missed that simple black, Hendry cleared up, he deserved his 7
Day 3., 1990 semi final Davis V Jimmy.. Jimmy won 16-14, I was elated for Jimmy, great match, looking at it now, what a final it would have been between Hendry & Davis, proper changing of the guard, although I might just have fancied David one last time...
Championship League concludes tomorrow with Winners group on from today. Higgins currently top with 3 wins from 3. He is about to play Trump.
Judd beats Higgins 3-1 and makes his 800th century
Day 4. Jimmy White v Stephen Hendry 1988 second round 13-12 to Jimmy.. Hendry leads the Crucible head to head 5-2, Inc 4 finals of course, this game was the first & a sign of things to come,

Turned it off just before the century, Higgins should have won it 3-0 😔
There's me thinking this is a world championship thread.... 🤔
It is but may as well briefly discuss the ongoing snooker event too
Judd out of the Championship League after losing to Williams and Dott today.
knew that defeat last night to Kyren would end up costing him. Hope Dott or Williams win it now.
Kyren Wilson and Mark Williams in the final and it's 2-2. Who is going to hold their nerve!
Kyren Wilson wins the final 3-2.
