Erm, let me think.
There's more chance of being killed in a car accident than dying of Covid if you're under 60. Why would you risk taking an untested vaccine that is already seen to be causing death by blood clotting?
It's a real brain teaser isn't it?
WTAF is wrong with some sheeple.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Is this parody
Additional issues with vaccine passports IF reports are t be believed and they’d be for sporting events, other events, restaurants and pubs
- Not everyone would be able to be fully vaccinated until September/October (going by current timetables)
- In the event they bring it in earlier and young people just have to take a rapid test, we know these rapid tests are not that accurate anyway (48% at last count?) and how long do they take the test, 24 hours in advance? A lot changes in that time, friend of mine tested negative at 1pm on a NHS Test before Christmas, and took a private test at 8pm and was positive on that one
- How do we calculate how long the passport for the vaccine side lasts for? Do you routinely get tested for antibodies forever now and when they drop you get re-jabbed? But what about t-cells?
- We’ll be protected / have higher protection in the venue in theory, but what about the people on the train we come into contact with on the way up? Or working in the burger van? Or working in the shops? Safe to mix with 50 others in the supermarket that doesn’t require one but we need one to share a stand / row of seats with 10 people ?
- If masks or distancing is still required then what’s the point in the passport in the first place if those measures work? And if they don’t then why do we still have to do them if we’re fully jabbed?
- We’ve been in this pandemic over a year and dunno about everyone else but I’ve been to supermarkets or shops nearly every day and went to countless restaurants regardless, so now we have an actual vaccine and the majority are taking it what’s the real difference compared to last year? I still went last year even without anyone having been vaccinated, we didn’t have these measures in place last year but now we have the vaccine we are considering it? Seems odd
- Requires you to have a smartphone at all times that is fully charged or papers, lot of aggro especially the amount of stuff that gets lost.
- As per above also then becomes rife for people stealing your phone or papers, or hackers hacking the app with all your details in because let’s be honest it’s going to happen, hackers had hacked Israel’s one within 2 weeks.
- So again you’re now putting me more at risk of robbery and assault just because I’ve got an app or some papers, how does this get prevented, more police on the streets? Like fack
- As per above, how do you know the others attending the game are not using a fake passport or fake papers or they’ve actually Been properly checked or properly tested? Or that their antibodies from the vaccine they too months ago still even exist?
The issue is it’s far far from foolproof and this is all even with me envisaging the vaccine does prevent transmission and spread. And the above is issues without even talking about the moral, legality or ethical issues like kids, pregnant women, medically exempt or the small minority of moron anti vaxers (which would also then likely cause riots and protests)
Especially kids as they would get tested like the others but they generate such small amounts of the virus it often doesn’t show on tests especially the rapid ones so they’d still be spreading it anyway.
And this is also without factoring in the costs of getting this set up, billions and billions for what real benefit? And Boris saying it would only last for up to a year. So a get rich quick scheme for his private friends and Tory peers?
I think the reality is it’s a stupid idea that is impossible to work like it says on the tin, doesn’t provide any real benefit in reality other than maybe a bit of positivity mentally for people that have been scared to their wits end, but when you break it down there is no benefit or foolproof benefit.
The reality is we can all die anytime, COVID increased that risk as one way of dying but with having had the vaccine that makes your risk so so low and lower than most other causes of death irrespective of if others have been vaccinated, so I don’t think this really changes anything at all other than more money being spent and Tories friends getting rich, people being excluded or persecuted (most of the time unfairly as anti Vaxers are a minority) and our civil liberties damaged and a lot of extra work for us (ensuring batteries on phones are fully charged or papers are safe or we’ve not got a bunch of anti vaxers tryin to steal our documents or phones)

Firstly it not untested. It’s had all the normal tests but the different stages, that normally take years, have been run alongside each other. Because we threw money at it in bucket loads!
Secondly there is no concrete evidence it causes blood clots. Nothing has been proven at all. The blood clot scare is concocted by the EU to trash the AZ vaccine because we are so far ahead in our vaccination program. They just can’t accept that.
If the vaccine doesn’t work then please explain the U.K. infection figures vs those of France, Italy, Germany and some other EU countries who are not vaccinating fast enough.
Yesterday - France 46,600, Italy 21,900, Germany 18,200, Poland 30,500, Belgium (a tiny country) 5,400, Holland (a small country) 7,200.
U.K. - 66million population - 3,400.
I’m not for vaccination passports but I am right behind the vaccination program.

vaccine dont protect u from getting or transmitting covid. it just reduces its severity if u get it.
vaccine passports r a stoopid idea
----------------------------------------------------------------------
I think the idea of only allowing people with 'vaccine passports' gather together in a large crowd isn't to protect those with the passports, it's aimed at preventing all people who attend from spreading it to the wider community.
Those who've had their jabs are less likely to spread it to those who haven't (according to preliminary data).
Without there being a restriction the likelihood of the virus being spread is much larger and would lead to spikes in infections (hospitalised or not) and may push us into further lockdown measures just when we're seeing the light at the end of the tunnel.
You only have to look at the Cheltenham Festival crowd causing further infection to see how crowds are the perfect place to transmit the virus:
https://www.bbc.co.uk/news/uk-england-gloucestershire-52485584
For me, I see those people who don't want a vaccine passport to be the same kind of mentality as those who gathered for protests in the middle of the pandemic.
The virus spreading is the most severe threat to our civil liberties. Vaccine passports aren't ideal (and there are sections of our society that they don't help) but they are a way forward. They ought not to be a permanent thing. Once we've got most people immunised they will become useless.

Fair points. Plus, as I said above, they help produce herd immunity. The sooner we have that and a majority vaccinated the sooner we get back to normal.
I said I’m not for them because I think they might cause division but I would use one if it was necessary.

Testing I imagine as they’re doing 2 a week anyway which has kind of been preparation for this. Only issue is how long the government Carries on funding these tests and if they stop then it’s £120 a test parents would have to pay just for them to be able to go to a restaurant or pub or event

I agree with what you say about younger people & children. Read an article yesterday saying that the risk factor of being hospitalised by Covid reduces to below the risk factor of taking the vaccine when you get down to the younger ages.
I don't know whether there's less associated risk of younger people/children spreading Covid though. If vaccinations were deemed necessary for children I'd guess it might be mainly to stop the spread in older generations which isn't right in my opinion.

True, plus the vaccine is meant to be 100% effective at not getting and preventing serious covid (to be hospitalised) or death. 90% or whatever effective at getting it in the first place but 100% at not getting it bad. So if you’ve had the vaccine you can’t really get much more protection and it’s far superior to the flu vaccine protection wise, flu is only about 60% effectively I believe.

It appears that it does reduce the chances of spreading it too. Most transmission is from human breath or touching after touching your mouth/nose.
The virus can't replicate in the salivary glands as well in a vaccinated person. Therefore they spread less of it around and it's then harder to pass it on.
Therefore vaccination = less chance of spreading it.
I just read that 7 people have died from blood cloths in the UK. On 18 million jabs. So its is not just the EU coming out with these findings. However, in the EU there are now people saying that the the damage done by Covid far outweighs the small risk of getting blood cloths.
Conspiracy eejits always find something to be suspicious about.

The facts are there to see. They’ve trashed the AZ vaccine since the day we started using it. The very top of the EU have a lot to lose over this.
They blamed AZ for not supplying them with enough vaccines yet wouldn’t put up the money to aid production - we did - £21m to their Dutch factory. The EU and the Dutch both refused.
They then said it was no good for over 65’s. Now it’s no good for under 60’s but OK for older people.
They threatened to grab supplies and stop exporting it yet they don’t want it.
Anything to stop us looking like we know what we are doing.
They have dealt with the vaccine rollout disastrously.
Interesting read on blood clots. They are far more common than 1 in 2 million:

I have no problem with carrying proof of having the vaccine but wonder where that leaves kids. They cannot get the vaccine and whilst it is rare from them to have health problems some have died, will they be excluded?

Testing I imagine as they’re doing 2 a week anyway which has kind of been preparation for this. Only issue is how long the government Carries on funding these tests and if they stop then it’s £120 a test parents would have to pay just for them to be able to go to a restaurant or pub or event

'Sheeple' - do antivaxxers have a script they use?
First off, it was tested. That's just a lie.
30 people out of 18 million with AstraZeneca have had blood clots, which hasn't been proven yet if it's caused by the vaccine. Even if it was, it's a tiny amount and there are rare side effects of every drug you take. That piece of paper you never read when you open a box of paracetamol, have a read next time.
As for the argument 'it doesn't affect me, so why should I take it?'. Fack everyone else, right?
----------------------------------------------------------------------
To be fair considering what we know I wouldn’t let children take it because they’d likely be more at risk of getting ill or dying / having adverse effects from the vaccine than the virus
----------------------------------------------------------------------
I agree with what you say about younger people & children.

Had my first on Thursday. Not felt great since but that may be down to already having Covid judging by what I am reading. Felt rough a month or two ago, flu like for a few days.
