Lingard’s obviously had confidence issues. Looks happy at West Ham and why he’s performing.

Playing every week has certainly helped him.

It’s great (and unsurprising) to read what Moyes has said about his attitude, how he’s trained and his impact on the dressing room too.

All stuff we knew about him already, of course, but good to hear that his head didn’t drop when he left on loan, and that he’s been able to carry that same work ethic and disposition with him.

He’s always worked his absolute bollox off on game day too, and he’s always had enough technical ability to make it at United. *If* he could bring the focus he’s shown on the pitch at West Ham back to United, he might still serve as a good backup for Bruno. But would that even be fair to him at this stage in his career?

Personally, I hope he continues to kill it at West Ham, gets a transfer somewhere he wants in the summer whether that be to Upton Park or elsewhere, and we get to watch him in this kind of form every week next season.

Keep Garner on loan. He needs to play football.

Another Championship loan next season or one overseas, maybe Germany, would maybe be best.

He should be playing every week, and he isn’t going to get that at United yet.

Couldn't argue with but you have to think Ole will have a good look at him in the pre season. That's if there is a pre aeason

If he smashes preseason training, Ole sees him as an immediate replacement for Matic, and he plans on giving him 20 games, then that’s different.

I’d be very surprised at that though. And I’d rather he was elsewhere playing even 30-35 games than back with us playing five or ten.

A fresh start is what he needs. I hope the club aren’t too unreasonable about a fee and price him out of a move.

On Garner, I agree about a loan back in the championship. Though I saw a couple of rumours that Norwich and Brighton like him, I’m not sure if a loan to a premier league side is best unless he is going to play every week.

That’s why I’d suggest back to the Championship.

That league has very close to the pace and certainly the physicality of the PL, and he should be playing every week. Those are what he needs.

Just seems to be totally different player for David Moyes, either Moyes is a brilliant manager or there’s been a big change of attitude from Jesse.

Teams often play differently against West Ham than they do Utd.

He’s doing very well though and was always a skilled player.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
West Ham is and always will be his level. I would snap any fee upwards of 15m for him

The gap between the prem and the championship has really closed the last few years. There are so many players playing in that league that have made the step up relatively quickly, many have gone on to become England internationals not long after.

Things didn’t work out at Watford, but hopefully a promotion chasing team that will see more of the ball will be interested in Garner.
