DDG has a very dodgy start but people stuck with him due to his young age.
When you're an international footballer on £350,000 per week and bear on the clubs longest serving player you'll rightly get criticism if not performing.

Everyone was up in arms when Fergie sold Ince, Hughes and Kanchelskis at the same time. You'd have had them in the team till they retired.

Kanchelskis no... but Hughes and Ince you’re damn skippy I would’ve kept them til their legs dropped off.
Well Greenwood has a good 10 games at least to show up, but the bar has been so low this season, I don’t think it will be that hard.

It's not even remotely comparable regardless of what you consider young and you're being silly so I'm out.
For all I care Lee Grant could start up front or in goal for United as long as they're doing the business.

I think it's a good and decisive move to bring Henderson in now. DDG's been an unbelievable keeper for us in the past, but his howlers are becoming an issue. There were always weaknesses in his game - too easy to beat at the near post, didn't command the box well etc. but his shot stopping used to make up for it. I think if you've got a potential gem like Henderson in that context you've got to start playing him. Not sure what the OP's getting at.
