A bit of both from the top two; the third is a myth really (though it becomes sort of true if you get the first two right). United haven't been good at coaching flair players since about 2009, or at coaching decent players to keep the ball. I have to say, in spite of all the issues in terms of structure, ownership and so on, the buck stops with the manager here, and with the coaching team with which he surrounds himself. Moyes, Mourinho and Solskjaer have all struggled to get us to keep possession; Van Gaal struggled to get us to do anything with it.

People who are in awe of them don't watch La Liga regularly. This is very common for them.
Watch the game again how they bring the ball out of defense and absolutely nullified the Liverpool press. We ain't doing that with the likes of AWB, Maguire, Lindelof in defense.
So in our last seven games we have only been below 50% possession in two of them.
We won both of those games.
Yeah, but Ole has lowered our squad age and moved on rubbish like Smalling and Lukaku

Our passing under pressure and decision making is quite poor. Even our best player Bruno really needs to learn when to keep it simple.

yeah dortmund are garbage. Trouble is in the later stages of the CL the teams who have been horrific in domestic leagues always raise their game for these occasions.
Suspect bayern may struggle gainst PSG aswell.
We couldn't press them high with our slow defenders like Phillips. Pace at the back is very important if you want to press high up the pitch.

With all the murmurs of discontent and how the team is in their twilight I was expecting a poorer team to turn up.
even the blind can see this madrid team supposedly in the twiligth is on a completely different level from our utd team. And they still demand more rather than make excuses for the team

Bayern and City are the only teams that have that level of technical quality in the centre of the pitch.
Pogba and Bruno aren’t up to the levels of Modric and Kroos, let alone McFred.

We do however have players to be able to pass the ball better than what we've been seeing.
We do, but when you watch a team like Madrid you realise just how far off we are of the elite when it comes to keeping the ball - and this isn’t even the same Madrid team of year’s gone by.
It’s why it amazes me we haven’t signed a facking central midfielder since 2018, and that was bloody Fred.
Now, compare that with Ole’s style of play.
