I had intended to watch the game to see how haaland coped against a top team but got bored of the game as I watched city monopolise possession
I switched to the liverpool game which was a more exciting game
----------------------------------------------------------------------

Haaland was very impressive, his hold up play and passes were excellent.

----------------------------------------------------------------------
I am convinced he is going to be 1 if not the best cf of the next decade (like lewa)

just praying he doesn't end up at city but I think I will end up disappointed
----------------------------------------------------------------------

Not sure he’ll be going anywhere at the mo with the prices being bandied about tbh.

He flew out to meet with Haaland and his father the same month we signed Igalho on loan.

...

Was he intent on signing Haaland on loan?

No. Ighalo was brought in from an entirely different reason than if Ole could have signed Haaland. So stop being a prat.

Also Ole clammed very early on that he knew where Haaland was going. And Haaland will never sign for us. Too much bad blood between United and his dad.
----------------------------------------------------------------------

There's no bad blood between Utd and his Dad. Roy Keane was the issue not the club and Keano left under a storm anyway.

I don't think his father's Leeds days even came into it. The release clause was the far bigger issue.

knowing raiola bvb will probably only get a small portion of the fee. Meaning BvB will be happy to keep him until raiola is able to get the fee raiola wants

Bellingham chose not to come to United , for whatever reasons, his choice , he has that right,
Haaland, if he doesn’t want to come to United, again that’s his prerogative , he has the choice of any club in the world, can’t force him, and finally, Grealish was gonna come , but changed his mind one Villa stayed up, boyhood club and all that.
Can’t really blame anyone at United for these 3 not coming to United if they have eyes elsewhere.
They didn’t love us enough.

Ole wanted Haaland. He got given Igahlo

......:

What a mess this is.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Technically it’s not wrong
----------------------------------------------------------------------
false

you are implying the club would not give him Haaland, when clearly we were in for him, and only offered him Ighalo

he settled on Ighalo, not out of choice

Ole managed Haaland, and yet he couldn’t convince him to come to United. That should give you an idea how respected Ole is in world football. Apart from our deluded fan base, nobody takes Ole seriously.

City will probably nab Bellingham to replace Gundogan in a couple of years. They’ll be in need another homegrown player with Walker getting on a bit.

I was pleased by how complimentary he was about us Will be the pep factor though, going to be interesting to see who we get next coach wise.

Or if he even extends his contract again. He won’t find a job anywhere else where he’ll be as comfortable and supported as he is at City. He’s said as much, so that wouldn’t surprise me.

I think Bellingham is probably one you’ll be looking at. You haven’t got many homegrown players.

Yep I agree with all of that.

I think City will need Bellingham more than Haaland in the next couple of seasons.

Will be curious to see given city’s huge loss how they structure these deals moving forward for next 24 months

Reasonably low transfer fee
Reasonable average wages
Etihad sponsoring the selling clubs shirts or stadiums
Agents being ambassador of X in UAE
Players family member getting something similar to stipend players wages

Wont surprise me at all to see Haaland go to City for 20m, Dortmund announce a huge sponsorship deal with etihad, alf inge be sporting ambassador to the UAE and Mino be the pasta consultant of the sheik

Mess?

He flew out to meet with Haaland and his father the same month we signed Igalho on loan.

Haaland joined Dortmund and we ended up panic loaning a player on deadline day who was never good enough.

You can't honestly believe Ole was happy with that deep down. Had to put the brave face on.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
So Haaland had a meeting with a pe teacher who says that trophies are for egos and decided to sign elsewhere.

Shocking

PE teacher who is second in best league in world and the only team who city haven't beaten in last 29 games?

Hahahahaha.

The loss isn’t as bad as you think, given both player sales and our CL revenue was deferred to this season.

Yup.

Should be a United player.

Better developmentally than Greenwood, rashford and even martial (potentially).

Might have to make him a better fit (winger perhaps) because the midfield is currently 'over crowded' with talent.

Very impressive for a young lad. Dortmund are the go to place for great young players to get game time at the highest level. Be interesting to see how him and Sancho develop.

Ole wanted Grealish Bellingham n Sancho if you believe the few football journalists who don't deal in BS rumours.

He got Donny, a past his best Cavani, Pellestri and Amad.

You can put any manager you want in charge. With Ed Woodward and Matt Judge working under the Glazers we arent getting back to where we all want to be.
----------------------------------------------------------------------

no one can or will take you seriously if you post such drivel
