It’s laughable that’s he’s on his 3rd contract at United.

This. Bring back Pereira and Lingard, offload Bruno, Rashford and maybe Pogba. Sign a striker from one of the relegated teams or perhaps a 35-year-old foreigner. I’d like to see us cement mediocrity and we’ve got a chance to make a real statement in that respect this summer.
I support mediocrity wholeheartedly. Would rather lose with Ole than win with anyone else.
On a serious note, Jones, Pereira, Lingard, Mata and Cavani look like obvious candidates for departure. Wouldn’t be against Matic leaving if we get a good DM but otherwise keep him. Haven’t really thought much about departures, to be honest.

I’d agree with all of that.
I’d also look to get Tuanzebe and Williams out on loan to PL clubs if we get a new CB and if we bring back Dalot or sign a new RB.
This season wasn’t much use to either player.

The alternative's rioting in the streets, which seems like a lot of effort.

You know, given that RB won’t be a priority, and that we could at least use some competition there, I’d be OK with giving him another shot. Apparently he’s looked decent.

Unless we get offered fairly big money for him I’d be willing to give him another year. Seems to be doing ok at Milan.
The more important question is: whom do we bring in? Outgoings are largely going to have to depend on our inbound business.
For me, we absolutely have to bring in a CB. There’s no question about that. We cannot continue to risk being one injury to Maguire or Lindelof away from a crisis.
Then Jones (preferably) or Bailly can leave. Ideal world for me, we’d actually bring two in: one to compete/rotate with Lindelof in the mould of a physically stable Bailly, and one experienced, dependable pro at the back end of their career for emergencies. Then we could be shot of both of the crocks.
Lingard can move on if Ole feels he can stick with Beekers for another season. His position is locked down now and he deserves to be playing every week.
Mata I’d like us to keep around. I think he might well end up as part of the coaching staff.
There are now mutterings of a loan deal for DDG if nobody wants to shell out for him. We certainly can’t continue with both him and Hendo in the squad, and I don’t think it’d be a disastrous move to just get his wages off the books and move on with Dean as number one already.
^ Which means that we’d need a ‘keeper, too, with Romero also bound to move on.
I’m not sure how excited Dalot is going to be about coming back to sit on the bench every week, but we do need an attacking option at RB. Would he be happy to play the Telles role knowing that he isn’t going to end up supplanting AWB?
We should loan Pereira to West Ham.
Seems like they know how to rejuvenate our cast offs
