and cover for:

Philips

I love them all, but objectively I'd be looking for players that could replace/challenge them where appropriate.

Priority:
- LB
- CDM cover for Phillips
- GK cover for Meslier

Med priority:
- CAM or a striker (depending how Rodrigo will be used)
- Winger to replace Costa (tbd...thought he's looked better and better recently)

Think we need a leftback, two if alioski leaves in the summer.

Cover for keeper.

We also need cover in midfield, interesting it looks like forshaw might be fit soon (not sure it will last l, but let's see on that) and if he is fit then he would be good cover for phillips and probably dallas too.

However after 2 seasons out it would be a mistake to think he can be used safely at this level so I think we definitely need cover in midfield.

Thing about our midfield is that yes we need more, but Phillips, Harrison, Dallas and Raphina all pick themselves everyday of the week anyway and Roberts has been great these last few games too.

I'm not saying you can't improve on them, cause you always can, however the players we bring in will really have to be special to dislodge those guys

i don't agree leedsfan. i think anyone we buy should be a starter. someone much better than what we have now.
a left back and a backup goalkeeper.
imo this team we have could finish higher next year than this because of the experience gained.

Definitely a left back, whether or not Alioski's leaving.

Definitely an attacking creative central midfielder. Even though Phillips seems irreplaceable, I'm sure Llorente or Koch could do well as DM.

Definitely an experienced keeper who will push Meslier, whether or not Casilla leaves.

Don't think we'll be getting a striker because we've got Rodrigo who's still to come good and Gelhardt pushing - and maybe we'll have to cough up for Big Kev after all...

Otherwise, it may be that we'll not be spending as much as this year. Consolidation.

Biggest signing may be Bielsa himself - a two year contract would be fantastic, with perhaps a third year extension depending on results, etc? Think what we could do with another three years with this great footballing brain at the helm!!!

Need to get Drameh, Gelhardt and Greenwood out on loan where they will play every game in League 1 or Championship next season

And a clone back-up - not a foil - for Bamford. No one else we have has come close to delivering what he does for the team - JKA would have been that man if he had been what we were told he was

What does that mean for Rodrigo?

Do you know if Rodrigo was signed with the intention to be a 9 or a 10?

I expected an 8 to be a priority ahead of a 10. Left back obviously top priority.
