Not sure I agree with that. Yes there is the initial dread but it starts and we are all in it together then it is enjoyable.

Agreed!

It's actually quite liberating only having to worrying about what to eat once a day. I've found it tough getting out of the habit even after Ramadan...

Ramadan Mubarak.
The first week is hard, but it gets easier after that. By the end, you're used to it.

Ramadan Mubarak to all.

I'm due to take the vaccine in a couple of weeks. Would I be able to fast or is it better if I don't?

Ramzan does not have solitary purpose that is abstinence but to Build character, that is care for needy and poor, do not lie and backbite and build relationship with Allah

Yep taking the vaccine doesn’t affect your fast because it’s injected into your muscle, not your vein.

When's Eid in the UK?

A month from today usually but no idea on the date. We’ll know in a few weeks.

In my cases, fat is lessed , so generally good for health

I fasted for 3 days recently and felt great, I still drank, beers as well, but no food.

Stomach shrank and I now eat smaller portions or usually just one meal per day. I choose the time though.

Surprisingly easy after a day or so.

Good luck to all that are fasting

What jab are you having? With Pfizer there is no side effects other than the sore arm but the Astra Zenica does lead to headaches, fever for some and the recommendation is to take some paracetamol after the injection.
