If Mourinho goes and Kane stays, big ask i realise but a new manager would need a minimum CB, DM, AM playmaker, most managers would work with the rest of the squad

It's a shame we can't get rid of Mourinho today. The release off pressure would be there for all to see. That's not going to happen until next season or if it blows up spectacularly before then. Either way it's life without Mourinho next season. I can't get my head around anything else.

Levy's not selling Kane to any team in the Premier League for less than 200m in the summer. Safe to say we can rule that out. If an offer comes from abroad from one of the Spanish giants and he fancies a bit of sun on his back I won't begrudge him the move. Again, that would surprise me as I genuinely believe he's got the records in his eyes. 1 more year until he makes that decision for me.

It's a strange one with Mourinho and Kane. They've both got a lot of respect for each other. If Jose gets the chop Kane may start to get itchy feet sooner than expected. I'm hoping more than anything that his character and what he's said in the past will make him stay at least another year with a new man charge.

Who knows with Spurs

Kane and Son are part of the problem.

According to Sandy.

I think Kane will want to go but Levy will mess around trying to get what he thinks is the right fee. Selling Kane and/or Son will be the only way we will generate any funds for new players.

Selling all the dead wood players will raise peanuts.

Then Levy will spend Jun, Jul, Aug messing about offering daft deals for players and we will be scratching about on deadline day signing the best of what's left.

I pray and hope Jose is sacked right after the final game of the season (he wont be before that, cant see it) and have already sounded out his replacement and he has a plan and then like Chelsea generally do and sign their players early doors. ....... but I fear not and it will be a shambles and the new manager will be left facing the consequences.

We have all the stories from Levy that we tried sign A, B and C but it was not right or possible....... rinse and repeat.

I don't see that Kane has a lot of leverage to force a move. He won't be much less valuable next season, if at all. With clubs likely having fans back they'll be more comfortable spending. And it's not like he's going to down tools while Shearer's record's still on.

I think any new manager that comes in will find it hard as we've come to expect so much over the last 5 years or so. Pre-Redknapp even getting in the Europa was considered a real success, now it's the bare minimum (which we're also unlikely to achieve given the way that tournament has now been split into two). When Poch joined we were back in the Europa League mode but now we've had so many years in the CL, it's gonna be hard for any manager coming in to achieve that goal. I think we need to change our mindset as fans and accept a few years in the wilderness before we get back to those days, particularly if we lose Kane. That will be felt like no sale that's ever come before. He's way more vital that Bale was when he left for a world record fee.

I think we're heading for a painful rebuild unfortunately and as we all know Jose is not the man to oversee that sort of thing. It feels to me like we need to lose players like Kane to start afresh again. We've kept hold of players longer than their shelf life really, as good as they've been. Kane is still one of the best but it's really not helpful having him in the squad if there's constant speculation as to when he will go. He'll either go in the summer or things will become really toxic.

new manager
Kane and Son stay
some rubbish cleared out the squad
some shrewd signings

any of the above not to happen then we have failed as a club

i mean we dont often do shrewd signings so if any of those things dont happen it can be that, if Son left it wouldnt be the end of the world but it will feel like it is if Kane went.

we would still go on though and hopefully feel more of a team again, coached with some unity and we sign big improvements from some already here next season and arent so reliant on individuals.

kane and son stay as no one will be able to buy them and jose most likely stays, we will rebuild in the summer

The thing is, we don't need a complete rebuild, we have some very good players being managed by the wrong coach and half a dozen deadwood that need replacing and improving upon.

New manager
And a top class CB, RB, CDM plus upgrades at other problem squad positions.

Get rid of Aurier, Sanchez, Sissoko, Doherty and replace with top quality, also upgrade where possible on Dier, Davies and Winks.

But you would be surprised how many of our players rediscover form or improve under a different manager.

I think we're underestimating how badly affected the club are by the Covid thing. We're broke so we either sell to buy or we pick up terrible player for peanuts.

Oh, and as much as it pains me to say it, you might as well change your username. He's going to Bayern and by all accounts he never wanted to join us anyway, despite reports to the contrary. Not that excited about anyone else now unfortunately. I had my hopes up for Julian.

New reports are saying Sarri. Not sure about that. A 62 year old on 80 cigarettes a day. He won't have long on that basis. That said, a dead manager would still be an improvement on Jose.

I'm sure Jose will be sacked at the end of the season and he can have few complaints but we must give his replacement a chance by giving our dreadful squad a complete overhaul. It is full of players who have either gone backwards or weren't good enough in the first place.

I would happily drive a minibus containing Hugo, Davies, Sanchez, Dier, Aurier, Toby, Sissoko, Bergwijn, Dele, Doherty and Lamela (sadly) to the airport. They aren't getting us back into the CL.

I also want to see alot more from Reg, Celso and the hugely overated PEH next season.

Jose has been stubborn and unable to sort out our fragile mentality but he has had a pile of shat to work with.

done

im literally only talking about getting rid of our crap and only signing a few well scouted players, not even expensive ones. even if we shifted 3 or 4 of the players we all want gone and 2 or 3 hungry players to come in.

I think there seems to a be a strange misconception around from the few Jose backers that we've not given him a chance but the truth is that none of us are demanding trophies or top 4. We're looking for progress on the pitch, at least I am anyway. In Poch's first season our form wasn't amazing but you could see things emerging in our play in the first 6 months to a year. It was working. Those that accuse us of wanting Jose out from the beginning are just wrong and clearly know little about football as far as I'm concerned. If you play terrible football, the results have to be there otherwise what have you got? Nothing.

Ten Hag? I suppose so but I'm nervous about getting in managers from Ajax. They have such a well run system with their youth policy and style of play that the club's philosophy can flatter any manager that comes in. You could argue that might apply to Leipzig and JN too but I don't think so. De Boer didn't exactly pull up any trees over here did he.

A manager that doesn't say a word that makes his players run round like nutcases. Dream land. Fk it, we ain't gonna win anything for a while with the money clubs at an advantage with Covid.

Bielsa! Be a right laugh

Would we still keep Jose if he won the cup and missed out on top 4? Levy might use the cup win as justification to keep him and think that we're still on the right track.
