I think we have offered him a deal. I would imagine so have others. I wouldn't offer him any more than an extra 12 months, personally. He's good enough to be a back-up option, but we need better to progress long term.

Agree there. I like many feel top priority this summer
is a top left back. But, as a squad player I'd be happy if he stayed.

I suspect the big decision he has to make is over a short term deal at a club e is settled at, or a longer term contract elsewhere. Can understand why that must be a toughie.

Surely no one on here knows, especially don.

He just looks like a good lad to have in the dressing room.
In the squad. He's got a really positive attitude and outlook.
That has to be good for the other players.

Add to that he scores cracking goals.

Hope we manage to hold on to him. If nothing else, we get
to read Don's hilarious posts on the match day thread about
how he could out run him.

i expected him to be a bench warmer this season, but we didn't sign anyone in his position, has surpassed everything i expected of him this season, needs to be praised for this however to push on we need much much better, he knows this, so if he can get a better deal than what we have offered him, then he should fill his boots

Kamara, you're right. Would not be surprised if he left.
But if he does go, I hope it's for a deal that sets him and his family up for life beyond football. Good bloke.

If he was better at defending against pacey wingers he'd be all we needed.

Love him, his attitude, his attack-mindedness, but we need some improvement at LB defensively.

he has bought into the bielsa way as much as anyone and its this that i appreciate the most. great attitude and i hope he stays for our bench.
also i don't think don could out run him even if gjiani was chasing him with a machete.

Or start playing Huggins or Davis.

Bielsa said some time ago that if Alioski chooses Leeds, Leeds would choose Alioski so the ball is in his court, but he isn't the future, if the club do so a future in some of the young lads, it would be a good time to give them a bit of game time with the first team.

Els, you bring up a good point re U23s. Will Gelhardt,
Greenwood, Huggins, Davis, Drameh (who's playing
really well), several others too, be challenging and
seen as part of the improvement of the squad?

Don't expect him to be here next season. Think he will be worth more to another team. Right call by the club to offer him what he will be worth to us a third choice player next season. He can be first choice for a club that will therefore be able to pay him a lot more.

Everyone always talks about his defensive ability being the problem. I assume because he was first used a winger. But against City he proved once again that's not his problem. His problem is actually on the ball, he is hopeless in the build up phase and panics when pressed.

This is a big disadvantage for us as a side that wants to be pressed and wants to beat the press to exploit space.

I'm pretty sure he came to us playing for Macedonian
as their wing back/LB. Who also played winger. Could
be well wrong there.

Be very surprised if he’s still here it’s financially beneficial to him to go and I cant see him playing as much as he does now, I think he’s slow makes rash challenges and his distribution is average though to give him credit further up the field his finishing is good, but again like Cooper the manager trusts him so who are we to judge

Don, clear this up please, do you think you could beat
him in a sprint off? Or was it your Mum? You've mentioned Gjanni's pace on a few match day threads.
I laugh every time. And would personally would pay to see that event.

Kern, it has been noted that Bielsa has a lot of time for Leif Davis but after having made a few appearances in the last few seasons, he has made one this season. He is 21 and doesn't seem to have kicked on. The U23's have looked better to me with Nial Huggins at left back. I wouldn't look to play either against Liverpool or Man Utd but Brighton looks a good opportunity.

Do people mean Don?.......or Donn?..

Whichever I hope he's bloody faster than his blood flows, because if it goes mont's way his blood might flow a little faster then its meant to!..

As for Alioski, think he'll take whoever gives him the right pay packet and guarantees first team football!..

Seems like Davis has been injured on and off this season, so unfair to really judge.
