I'd give up, but still have a soft spot for the team. And hate the owners more than I do now.

I will. Can't wait to swap Wolves, Burnley and Fulham for Barca, Juve and Real.
----------------------------------------------------------------------

You will literally be the Fulham of the league though. Don’t understand how any fan could welcome this idea.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Nope.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
I don’t think anything is more certain.

Nope.

Would probably maintain a passing interest, but I can't see myself getting any real enjoyment out of it.

Arsenal would have several advantages, being a London team prime amongst them, over other clubs.

Yet Fulham still have fans. By your logic any team that isn't in the top half should find a new club. How can they welcome the idea of supporting a team that won't do well?
----------------------------------------------------------------------

How can they welcome the idea of being the whipping boys of a competition, by choice? At least Fulham know that if they get relegated they can have a run at promotion. When Arsenal finish rock bottom in this super league nothing happens. Same money for failure as for success. Renders the competition meaningless. This is basically “medals for everyone” with professional football. Makes a mockery of the sport

A quick look at society shows us the results ie why could your grandparents/parents afford a house yet you can't?

The money printer doesn't care.

If they fully embrace the American model, the team finishing last gets to pick the best young players. Although they could potentially change it to having a pick at the best player around

Except that Arsenal could finish rock bottom and then the next season have a go at gaining the title. Liverpool went 30 years without winning the league (but never kn danger of relegation) and that didn't mean fans stopped supporting them in that time.

Do you propose getting rid of the fa Cup because there is no risk to going out in the early rounds beyond not winning it?

Is it true PSG n City both said no???

I wonder why....😂😂😂😂

Imagine a low ranked club had an amazing season made it to the SL held their own including smashing someone like spurs or arsenal 5-0 a couple of times but ended up mid table, but the teams facing relegation were the founders that can’t be relegated? So the plucky upstarts in mid table get relegated!

It’s so stupid.

Now being reported that City have signed up to it. PSG apparently haven't because of the intention to include sone sort of FFP

they can't beat the fulhams of this league.

PSG haven't signed up to it because their owner owns BeIN sport and DAZN are expected to be getting the rights to it.

Just like NBA they might introduce drafting instead of buying players or swapping players.

With so many US billionaires owners in Premier League, that’s the way they want it and it will happen.

Btw, US AIG insurance giant has promised £60b to promote the new European Super League, it’s happening folks.

Welcome to free market capitalism......

I think this while idea is the traditional big clubs trying to fight back against state ran clubs personally.

I don't see any other benefit and but for Qatar n UAE buying two average clubs I don't think this league would even be up for consideration.

Where did you see that about AIG?

No, because clubs down to grass roots level get a crack at the FA Cup, whereas this super league is elitist bullsh*t that does nothing for fans and harms our domestic competitions.

But that wasn't the point you were making. Your original comment was that there is no point supporting a team who are likely to do badly, if there are no repercussions for dong badly. This is exactly the situation that most clubs have for the FA Cup - if you lose you just try again next year.

Sources have told ESPN that New York-based investment bank JP Morgan will underwrite the project, with $6 billion distributed as loans to the teams in addition, AIG insurance firm will sponsor the new League with up to £6 billion with the proposed amount spread between the permanent members as a cushion against outside pressure.
