I'm actually ashamed of and embarrassed for our previous board members who sold the club out to Kroenke's charlatan corporation, who've not invested a single penny into the club, yet are now poised to make a fortune off of it.
So disgusted right now.

The other five clubs are all foreign owned and have no affinity to the PL, so I can't help thinking it looks worse for Levy as an Englishman to take part in something that undermines the league.

UEFA, The English Football Association, and The PL, the Royal Spanish Football association and LaLiga, and the Italian Football Federation and Lega Serie A have learned that a few English, Spanish and Italian clubs may be planning to announce their creation of a closed, so called Super League.
If this were to happen, we wish to reiterate that we and also FIFA and our member associations will remain united in our efforts to stop this cynical project, a project that is founded on the self interest of a few clubs at a time when society needs more solidarity then ever.
Joint statement from UEFA, FA, PL, LaLiga, FIGC & Serie A.

What did they expect? Do they genuinely have no awareness? No-one wanted the 39th game, no-one wanted Project Big Picture, and no-one wants this, other than the greedy owners and maybe a few plastic fans.
The way they've misjudged the mood so badly says it all. But they don't care. No surprise that most of the owners pushing for this are American - they don't do sports right, they don't understand tradition or history or competition. But all of the owners involved are just as bad.
It really is anger-inducing in its stupidity.

I thought he might have singled us out due to our British owners who you would hope would show more respect and loyalty to the league in their country.

I wouldnt be surprised if this is just a move to put pressure on the decision makers and make sure the proposed CL changes are approved.
These 6 clubs want CL every season, and increasing the size of the tournament increases their chances of that.
I do not see how ENIC can justify being one of the 6 English clubs when we can't even get into the CL competition on merit.
