The biggest problem by a mile is that you don't have to qualify for it. It's a ridiculous concept driven purely by a desire to ringfence funding. They don't give two tosses about the fans, so hopefully the fans will vote with their feet

Not true whatsoever. These clubs don't need permission from the others to leave if they so wish to.
I don't agree with this new league and certainly don't want it but my understanding is the clubs can walk away if they want to and that's that.
An extra 20 games a season is absolutely brutal on the players and guaranteed qualification for wealthy sides is blatantly and ridiculously unsporting
It won't run in tandem though, as almost every league and governing body involved has decried it. FIFA saying they will bar participating players from international tournaments last time it was raised. Leagues saying that the domestic leagues and cups would be off the table for those clubs.
It would be doomed to failure. Hopefully any club who participates is forced to work their way back up from the bottom when it inevitably collapses

What are the benefits of doing well in this caanty league if it's a non competition? Can you just play your reserves knowing you can't lose anyway?

Its football. There are sports where they are actual brutal schedules, and physicality. Football isnt one of them.
