Does anyone really believe the PL will kill their product dead, by throwing out these clubs.
Seriously?

I've also read that fifa won't allow participants to play in the world cup.

The FA/Premier League will probably be forced into taking some form of retaliatory action, as it will be in their interests to do so.

Maybe.
But let's have it right, no matter what you think of this idea, which I personally detest, the PL is a money making machine, and would become an economic footballing backwater if they were to throw those 6 clubs out of the league.

Don't think expulsion is a threat they can make (as would not be able to act on it) but at the same time I expect the football authorities here (which seem to have the support of Parliament) will act fairly robustly.

Its not in the interest of anyone but UEFA that the Super League clubs or their players are excluded from other competitions.

Not sure how a government can interfere with clubs that are basically privately owned businesses, who, if they aren't breaking any laws, can't be impeded by the state.

Whilst legislative countermeasures by parliament are unlikely, along with football authorities it creates additional pressure on the clubs to reach compromise.

Why would it kill the PL?

The money would simply go to other clubs. The players being banned from PL/CL/WC won't take long to demand moves.

Trust me. If the 6 leave within a few seasons new teams will replace them. I can see this blowing up in their faces and really damaging their future revenue streams. Never seen a bigger PR disaster. It's not a coincidence it's being backed by Americans, with no idea of what tradition means.

Assume poster was referring to the TV (Sky, BT, Amazon etc) revenue.

So he thinks those companies would pay the same amount of money for a far less in demand product?

Probably not but you'd need to address your query to FootyMcfootfoot.

Well CL money, which is the largest pot, and potential PL money. It's unclear whether teams will be expelled from the PL for breaking away but looking at the immediate hostility people will call for it.

Just cos the six clubs want to stay in league comps and leave CL doesn't mean they will get their way.

If the club's own supporters turn on them then the super league will struggle to get the sponsorship levels it wants. The reason for the league is increased revenues but if the fans don't want the league, and won't watch it, sponsorship will be an issue.

Fans and TV viewership is key to it succeeding.

Devils advocate, will sponsors pay more for a superleague if fans aren't interested in watching the same teams compete every year?

CL means something to fans and supporters. Just out of protest so many will oppose it's initial offerings that I can't see them getting the revenue streams they want from sponsorship or TV money.
