I am surprised that Mel Morris isn't receiving more criticism given his obsession with star names. This entire scenario has been created when under Frank Lampard he wanted to get Rooney in as a player alongside Wilson, Mount and Tomori. Didn't happen but Mel has been fixated on the idea that resulted in Cocu being undermined and forced to select a player whose quality has been fading.

I honestly thought we'll be okay and survive after the last two games, but given the poor performances and lack of fight, desire, heart I just don't know.

Des I thought Cocu's football was rather dire before Rooney arrived. Rooney did well as a manager till he "rested" some players for the Cardiff match, we haven't done well since. Some fans say it's because Bielik is injured, but since he is always injured I don't think this is the case.

The team were shocking last night, no fight, passion or anything else. They weren't playing for the manager, club or the fans. It is a long time since I've seen such a bunch of useless players in a Rams shirt. Jamie Ward showed more passion last night and he was on Radio Derby.

At least it's not far to Burton.

The 32 Red deal has turned out to be a complete disaster for us.

Don't think they should sack Rooney yet. He has been working with one hand tied behind his back for transfers. He has done far better than Cocu with the same players but last night was a disaster against a poor Preston side.

Hope his luck changes soon as recently it has mostly been bad. As Napoleon said, I don't want good generals, I want lucky ones.

I think it's fair to say Middlesbrough will lose tonight and Steve Gibson would be v. satisfied with that loss.

I agree regards not sacking Rooney, how many times are we going to go through that process and assemble a new squad that meets the manager's playing style? Here's a young manager who will make mistakes and learn from them, he's personally got the desire to succeed if the team doesn't. Got good contacts in terms of Man Utd, Everton, Stevie G at Rangers could possibly be relied upon too.

There is a naivety to his tactics which has been highlighted clearly on here and also on the Monday evening moan in. He needs to stick to his playing style and get the team adjusted to it instead of a fluid approach that changes week in, week out.

The one thing that did come to mind after the last two games is that we desperately needed a hard b@rst@rd in the middle. Shinnie does a great job, we needed to go 'Gary Rowett' and instead of the midfielder from Everton who appears to be very raw, we needed someone who knew the division and could offer us something.

Desperate times.....with very little hope left this team has what it takes to survive.

Shouldn't we look to recall Jozefzoon? It would be classed as bad sportsmanship but can you imagine if he scored the winning goal in a couple of matches? (Highly unlikely,but he's on Rotherham's bench and can be called upon).
