May as well give your starting 11 a few months off starting next Monday.

I've actually lost interest. Lost interest in the cup final and a new managerial appointment.

Yep. Couldn't care less what we do in the Rich Caants League. Looking forward to it as much as my next dentists appointment.

This whole ESL thing has ruined the firing of Mourinho.

Striketeam was also pro Jose so his opinion is as valuable as Sandy's tbf

I cant see how competing in ESL and PL can go hand in hand. Results in the PL for ESL clubs just wont matter anymore, so the league’s credibility is lost if ESL clubs remain in it. The ESL clubs should be ejected, and have a closed shop exhibition league if that’s what they want, which sadly would mean the end of Spurs as we know it.

Win or lose in the EFL final. The rest of the season is pointless as you are assured a place in the Globetrotters league next season.

Well no. The very earliest it will start, if it does at all, is 2022/23.

You are better off enjoying the last couple of months of football before it dies

Ace

I guess you take your name from the "Ace Face" played by Sting in Quadrophenia.

That's perfect, because like him you act all tough and just like him I strongly suspect that in real life you are a sad pathetic little excuse for a man.

I find it weird that the general consensus of some spurs fans is "thank god we're in it". In what? The misconception is that we'll be making loads of money, buying top players and dominating along with the others. Dominating what exactly? The PL, FA Cup and League will just be cast aside as second rate competitions and the only one with any credibility will be the ESL, which we'll be bottom of the pile on.

This has absolutely no upside for me. The only positive I can see is that 6 greedy owners in our league will be richer. It's just lining pockets. Simple as that. There is literally no upside at all.

This has to stop. It's almost criminal. I made comparisons earlier in another post about the fact that change is always inevitable, the leap from the first division to the Premier League has been a huge success. The one common thing that both of those share though is competition. Promotion. Relegation. A chance for others to join, the risk of those in it to drop out. That's what the integrity of competition is all about. We love the CL because we rarely get in it. It's a reward for the journey you've been on in the previous season. You'll soon get bored of Spurs v Barcelona if we've not done the hard yards to get there. It'll become like any other fixture. The great fallacy here is that it's being pitched as the ultimate Champions League. It's precisely because we don't face these sides on a regular basis that brings the attention to the fan base. I guarantee you, 3-4 years down the line, the thought of facing Barcelona will bring the same level of excitement as a trip to Sheffield United on a cold Monday night. Novelty will vanish.

This is not about making football better. It's not even about making those clubs better. It's about owners grabbing all the money. That's the bottom line.

If this gets off the ground, football is dead.

Have you read Perez's quotes from earlier on?

The plan is for the super league to replace the CL.

It is expected the teams will still be in the Prem and in the other respected leagues. No way are they getting expelled. They are too big to be cast aside.

He basically said Real have lost €400m due to covid and other teams are in a similar position.

I am against it but all the clubs signed up on saturday and the contract is binding. The true cost of covid is unknown to us fans and he believe the ESL is the only way to save the clubs and the Pryamid. He is off his head.
