No because the big clubs will remain in the Prem. Without the 6 the English league will not hold any appeal globally, Everton, Villa, Leicester and Newcastle would dominate
No.
A massively well supported game even outwith those clubs, it will go through a period of adjustment no doubt but it's far from over.
Not that this will be allowed to happen anyway
Every club involved should be banned from Europe next season

Isn’t the ultimate threat to suspend these clubs from their national leagues?
Imagine Spurs v Chelsea a minimum of 4 times a year. Massive switch off. Just as in our league playing each other 4 times a year. It gets tiresome.
I can’t help but suspect that Rangers are behind all of this.
I don't think the dirty six can stay, how can the league be competitive when the 6 above who already out muscle them financially have an additional £350m every year minimum? The dirty six will be despised and disparaging by all the remaining clubs and they will never have a hope of finishing above them. The premier league will not be able to continue with them, all it can do is do the right thing, let them go, do not let then compete domestically. Either way their are consequences and issues, take the financial hit and rebuild the league with integrity and fairness on your side. Eventually fans will turn away from the ESL as it's the same sherry week in week out
That's one of the (many) things that these breakaway groups don't get - what makes Manchester United v Real Madrid special (or Barcelona v Juventus or whatever combination you want) so special is that these games don't normally happen every year. They are event games.
If you make them regular season games then it all goes very stale. We're already starting to see that seep into the Champions League and this will only escalate that feeling of sameyness.
"The contract of the #SuperLeague is binding. Nobody can leave, we will work all together. All the clubs signed the contracts last Saturday, there's no problem"

Even in the super league, there’s no parity. Real and Barca are guaranteed millions more each year than the others. It’s a crazy set up.
Shame the fans* can't be in the grounds to let them know how they feel.
Can you imagine the scenes last night with a full Elland Road? It would have been fantastic.

The majority of the CL is boring as feck for the very reason that its the same big rich clubs years playing each other after year.
Last time it provided something a bit different and was interesting for me was when Monaco did well with a very young Mbappe leading the line.
Cant think of too many teams to emerge in the past 10 years. The structure of the competition as it is doesnt encourage it.

It's pretty much the same clubs that led the breakaway from the football league too, isn't it?

The Ajax run to the semis was more recent.
There are conditions for the funding of the SL though and if those aren't met the funding is retracted, and the concept dies.
As a secondary point to this, if these clubs go ahead it gives the Premiership a problem and they will most likely kick them out.
It would leave 14 teams and there would be a bit of a need to do something quite special to capture the imagination and freshen things up. They could either open 6 places to clubs from the Championship...or would it perhaps open up the possibility of the Old Firm joining a new look Premiership?
I'm not saying I'm for or against that incidentally, just think it could be something they look at to backfill the void.
I honestly think the CL will be improved without these teams if it happens. Gives us back a competition with different teams in the latter stages for a while at least.

That's why they have pushed it through whilst there have been no fans. Clubs are currently seeing no concequences for their actions on or off the pitch. What trumps money? The safety of the people behind the plans? Do they value their money or lives more? I am not saying that fans should attack the houses of these people and threaten their lives. I'm definitely not saying that they should definitely do that. All I'm saying is that the fans need to fight back in a way where these rich cants will see real concequences of their actions. Eg. Smash their houses up.
If these 12 teams want to go do that then fine let them but it has to be all or nothing, not joining that and playing domesticaly.
Go make a super league and that is your competition full stop.
It's no different from the NFL. The NFL is seen at the top of the game but from what I know of American football is that there is still much more passion and more numbers follow their college football.
I don't see it affecting us too much apart from perhaps the money from CL drops. English football loses some of its teams but the fans won't suddenly stop following their teams.
It changes the finances but not the game that we love. It just has a tier above that players perhaps aspire to get into.
Riches in football is a relative new thing, I'd be happy for it to go back a few steps
I honestly don't think the fans views make a difference.
This is all pitched towards "new age" fans in profitable markets. These clubs are in a position with sponsorship, commercials etc that fans no longer are the lifeblood of the club sadly. I remember Dave Whelan saying a few years ago clubs at that level now were in the position where they no longer need to charge ST money to get by, they could give away free tickets if they wanted to and it would make no difference.
It's the foreign owners behind this decision, they have no interest in fans from the local areas. The game has long left these people behind.
