This is like an election night where one big name tumbles after another. Fortunately, unlike normal in an election when I'm getting more depressed as Labour get nowhere, I am enjoying this with a massive box of popcorn. It's brilliant to see the clubs and execs desperately trying to save face. 'Wasn't us, guvnor? We were forced into it'.

Come on, Levy, show some bottle for once and allow Tottenham fans to at least half enjoy the final on Sunday out of this shambles of a competition. I'd still be happy to see us have the book thrown at us for our role in this. Pathetic delusions of grandeur.

Levy must be pretty embarrassed.

I think he should resign. He's lost the plot lately. Furlough, hiring Mourinho, this.

I've stood up for him before, but I can't defend this latest move. It's turned me totally off him and has made me rethink my allegiance to the club I've supported for the last nearly 25 years.

He could finally some good grace and dignity, resign, say he got it badly wrong, and allow someone else to take over. He's been in the job an awful long time, time for a change.

Huge money is involved so expect Levy to dig his claws in. Might even be the last one to pull out after the Glazers.

Never was going to happen, in the present climate nobody has a stomach for this, totally wrong timing

We will be last to pull out as we can’t afford a law suit, in fact we will probably offer the organisers the option of our first team playing our reserve side just to avoid being sued

As Jessie J once sang, he really is all about the money, money, money. I wish I hadn't spent so much time defending him all these years now.

I still do think he has run the club largely sustainably, and has largely had us on an upward curve, but a supposed Spurs fan would never have signed up to this. We can't use the excuse of having a foreign owner or franchise-obsessed in charge.

Levy is supposed to know and understand this league. He's supposed to understand the fans. He doesn't give one hoot.

For an intelligent man, he lacks any self-awareness. He really is a deluded fool. "Spurs are one of the biggest clubs in the world," he'd say. No we're not, we're hangers-on, we're sheep, we're followers, and it's pathetic.

2 trophy wins in 30 years, no title win since 61, and we proclaim ourselves one of the 12 biggest clubs in Europe. We're a joke.

It will be us and Arsenal left in, playing each other on a loop in some kind of weird purgatory, calling ourselves the two biggest sides in the ESL

This is the same point I've made a few times. Levy as the one English owner, who understands the traditions and history of the English game and who is an apparent Spurs fan, should know far better. It goes to show you what we already knew about him, that it's all about the money. His bank balance comes first and his soul comes second.

If he was in a position to be sacked he'd be on untenable ground right now.

Such a spursy situation to be in

I don’t like how quite the club has been regarding this rubbish. Nothing about pulling out, silence from the players! I think Levy will stubbornly hold on for as long as he can

The financing isn't there........not solid.....JPMorgan bank are not fools when it comes to their money.
Had to be conditions.......
like getting PSG & Bayern to join. and they won't!

Damned good! And to Jordan Henderson for speaking truth to power!

posted on 20/4/21

Hendo posted only after the ESL collapsed. Not many players had the balls to stand up when it mattered.

Looks like Pepe did and, to an extent, Klopp

Contracts have been signed. Knowing Levy he will be waiting for it to be cancelled so he can claim compensation for breach, rather than withdrawing for free and I’m not even kidding.

I think it might be more to paying off a massive stadium debt. I bet you will be the first to moan when Spurs pull out of this new venture, then the club announce that there will be zero money available for transfers for the next five years.

Yeah...tell Sandy that!
Next thing, Lewis & Levy sell out.
Will be quite a feat because ENIC have 1/2 Billion USD (or maybe EU or GBP) debt.
