Tottenham official pull out of the ESL

posted on 21/4/21

"We can confirm that we have formally commenced procedures to withdraw from the group developing proposals for a European Super League (ESL).

Chairman Daniel Levy said: “We regret the anxiety and upset caused by the ESL proposal. We felt it was important that our club participated in the development of a possible new structure that sought to better ensure financial fair play and financial sustainability whilst delivering significantly increased support for the wider football pyramid.

“We believe that we should never stand still and that the sport should constantly review competitions and governance to ensure the game we all love continues to evolve and excite fans around the world.

“We should like to thank all those supporters who presented their considered opinions.”"

What a load of BS.....especially the last line!

The sooner Tottenham say Bye Bye to ENIC the better.
And I doubt ENIC will disband the club because selling it is their only way out of the debt.
Oh yes.... the officers of the club will be responsible.

Terrible statement. Even Arsenal managed a better job.

Good news tho'. What a cluster feck this has been ! And they even paid a PE agency for this 😂😂😂

Levy basically saying that the ESL was the correct way for the Club to go, if it wasn't for those stupid fans getting in the way. What a rectum-crevice!

Levy in truth is the worst of them. I've said in the past that I've been proud that we are one of the few who have British ownership but that has meant nothing at all during this, and they've behaved as disgracefully as the rest.

Joe Lewis is an Englishman, as is Levy, who is also a supposed fan.

Let's be honest, this was an idea brought about by the American owners who don't understand our relegation/promotion set up in this country. What is Levy's excuse? How he can even use the term "financial fair play" in his statement, when this was a proposal that would have made the rich clubs richer and ensured they are the ones at the top of the tree, while denying the lower clubs the chance to prosper really is deluded and sickening.

If fans don’t demand Enic and levy leave now, with as much venom as they rejected the super league, then I give up

Enic are poisonous.

Do you seriously think anybody is going to take over football clubs in a pandemicm, when clubs have serious debts and no money? Honestly how dopey are you.

Who do you suggest will be taking over if Enic go?

How you have the nerve to call others dopey just shows what a social reject that you are. You've spent the last few weeks upon your latest return assuring everyone that Jose would be Spurs manager next season.................

Joe Lewis (sic) is the absolute worst kind of "Englishman". He is a Donald Trump of Englishmen.
Born poor above a family owned Ice Cream Palor, he built a few million from a string of parlors, cashed out, and migrated to the Caribbean.
Around 2008 during the British currency fluctuations, he gambled and made a Billion dollar fortune on currency trading...........probably at a cost to you!
He treats the football club as a cash cow, overseen by his "yes" man, Levy.
He will not spend a penny to help the club.
Hopefully things will get bad enough that Lewis' only option will be to sell out.

As one license plate I once saw put it.............
"The parts seen falling off this motor car are the best of British craftsmanship"

Likewise...we have "the best of British management"!!
