I like Ryan Mason a lot, and wish him well. Hopefully he does well and gets rewarded with a nice five year contract.

Money will be in short supply for a few seasons now, so he won`t have any transfer funds, but at least he can start bringing some of the youngsters through.

Good thing about Mason being in charge is that if we win it won’t be soured by the managers agenda. #ENICOut

To be fair, that's what we thought about Dim Sherwood ... if Mason wins the cup and the final 6 matches (yeah right) then it's difficult to ignore him. Even though that's likely to be a mistake.

Far to young mate and I honestly don’t see it, even if he wins all the matches. It will be a great learning curve for him, but we need a proper manager in the summer

Shame this stupid super league took the gloss of that miserable specialist in failure being canned.

Now they're both gone we can celebrate

Looking forward to tonight

With all due respect fella. how can a manager that has won more than 20 trophies for his clubs be a specialist in failure. The only club he has ever failed at in his entire life is Tottenham.

I assume you think you can manage better than Mourinho?

#thfc chairman Daniel Levy is considering appointing a sporting director in a restructure for the club. [The Athletic]

Aplogies for dumping this snippets on here but looks like Levy is already looking forward.

Of course he is Sanluka, or did you think Levy would’ve fired your King and not had anyone lined up...

I would like it made permanent, and with very little money, Spurs won`t be getting any top manager in now. May as well go with one of our own.

The idea that Spurs will be bringing in a big name manager on big wages, and then giving him millions to spend is for the birds, unfortunately Don.

Paying off the Stadium debt has to be a priority now.

Levy's too shrewd to give Mason a contract based on the final 6 games of the season (plus a cup final). I think that's where United went wrong with Ole. He's improved on Jose's tenure but I still think they're a collection of talented individuals rather than a team with visible patterns of play. Bruno has made the difference on his own. They should have got Poch whilst they had a chance.

Mason isn't even a club legend. He couldn't get game time, went to Hull and had that horrific head injury. I'm glad he's getting a chance with us to cut his teeth in management but we won't give him a contract even if he wins the final 7 games.

I hope Mason has an agreement that he can go back to managing the youth after.

Timmy S was actually really good with our youth and him leaving definitely affected us.

The club are no longer in a position to pick and choose managers, they are heavily in debt, or maybe you haven`t noticed that. Mason fits the bill perfectly right now, cheap as chips, used to play for Spurs, nice lad, and knows all the players. He fits the bill perfectly.

Timmy S was good with the youth but with senior players I feel he was joke based on a clip I once saw of him telling Mousa Dembele how good he was and he will play for Real Madrid one day, whilst training for Spurs ! I mean wtf ! So basically you are saying you are too good for this club and save yourself on matchdays because you will be playing for Madrid one day and you don't want to scupper any chance of a move. There are hundreds of ways to motivate players and you want to tell a player he will play for another club whilst at my club!

Also on tv he sounds like a punter so I get why so many fans can relate to him.

Gotta love Ryan Mason, can you imagine if he wins us the cup and gets us top 4

posted on 21/4/21

Yeah he wasn’t a great manager (he was pretty terrible actually) despite doing a decent job as interim.

However from all accounts he did an exceptional job with the academy. You have to look at some of the players who came through under his time: Kane, Townsend, Rose, Mason, Winks, Bentaleb, Fredericks etc. That’s an impressive mix of PL/upper Championship talent

Agreed. Sandy, spurs will go Nagelsmann or Rodgers in the summer. Mason won’t be getting the job full time and he’s not ready. Hopefully he does fantastic job until end of season, but mark my words, Spurs won’t be taking him on full time.

I personally would of sacked Jose 4 months ago. The moment we lost to Brighton, he should of gone. That’s when I turned on him and could see he had lost the dressing room. But, it’s done now and we don’t have to put up with him bringing on Sissoko when we are drawing against our main rivalsstill flabbergasted by this decision against United
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Having survived the Brighton debacle I can't believe he wasn't binned off the day after the Zagreb 2nd leg. To go out to a very average team when needing just 1 goal to kill the game was ridiculous.

In what remains of the season its time for the squad to prove that they were being mismanaged and are actually a decent group of players.

Totally agree mate. Zagreb was simply one of the most embarrassing results in about 30 years.

I'm pleased for Mason and hope he does well. Don't think he should get the job full time even if he does but he should be able to take up his youth coaching job afterwards.

I’ll be stunned if Spurs get Nagglesmann....... Going to Spurs is a step down from Leipzig and with Bayern interested we have no chance. He will have a great young squad, better resources, a chance to win the league & CL, is from Bavaria and wont have to work for muppets like Lewis and Levy who’s reputation is seriously damaged
