maybe id get one if i could actually find somewhere still selling them.
I have 3 people I know at work looking for one. I have been looking out for them too. What comes quickly goes.
I have no idea when they will be generally available. But I do know PS5 sales have set some records.

I’d wait a while yet anyway, nothing on the next gen to justify it just yet and the second cycle will sort out some of the teething problems like the controller issues.
Waiting is all people can do, I know loads of people after one. 3 people I know from work.
With backwards compatability, and the advantages the PS5 has over the PS4 being bought to PS4 games. I fully understand people making the upgrade.
The only thing stopping people is lack of PS5 stock.
I understand people who can get one for the rrp, not anyone paying over the odds.
I agree people paying over the odds are not helping.
It just seems crazy to still have people unable to get a PS5 coming up to May.

Sem he is talking about supposed drift issues. Basically movement happening without touching the sticks.
Some people have suffered from this as have xbox users, and I even had some of the same issues with a PS4 controller.
Most people are fine, and it is not the big deal it is being made out to be.
I don't think there has been a single game released for the PS5. Why are people still paying so much for one?
Can't think it's anything other than deliberate from Sony - if they had enough so anyone could buy one then fewer people would, as there's absolutely nothing to do on it. Keep it artificially scarce and people will want it more for fear of missing out.
Drunken Hobo, the PS5 is the fastest selling console in US history. Sony are not holding back production. They simply can't meet demand.
The console launched with some games, but it always takes a while to build up software on a new console. Spiderman especially selling really well.
To be hoenst the lack of stock is a joke.
I expect it around Christmas time, but to not have them available coming into May says to me they dropped the ball on the production front
To be fair there have been some issues, Covid, Semi conductor shortage.
For the PS5 to be the fastest selling console in US history, Hardly points to them dropping the ball. I would have thought by now they would be freely available. But demand is unprecedented.
