Suspect mason went with the line up he expects to play Sunday. I would guess there would be 0 changes. And we needed 45 mins to get Jose ball out our system

Not sure about winning but I think we've given ourselves a better chance by booting Jose. Despite the form we've been in we have a good team with some good attacking players. Without Jose holding them back then who knows.

As much as I detested the situation, a big game against City is one of the few situations where Joseball would be an acceptable approach. We’ve had a number of success against them where we’ve frustrated them and then nicked the game with the few amount of chances we’ve created. Try to match them and we’ll get our pants pulled down.

But the Joseball stopped working after December. Look at our recent record against teams in the top half. Jose just didn't have the answers anymore to keep this team turning up in big games and winning matches where we take leads, apart from against the very weak opposition, and that was usually when Jose tried going more attack minded but he since froze Bale out of the team.

I feel at least now he's gone, the team may have more belief. The belief had been drained out of the side since our good spell at the end of last year to the point that it just didn't look like we were going to get it back any time soon.

If John Stones plays I fancy our chances of scoring at least one. Will it be enough though? Doubt it but anything can happen in a final.

We have to park the bus. We have no other option with our dodgy defence.

Even if Kane is half fit he should be benched. We have to learn from past mistakes, especially when it comes to finals. They will target his ankle anyway. Fernandinho will lay one on him guaranteed.

I hope Mason starts the same team as the other night.

Tell them to play with 2 low banks of 4 with Moura on the left and Bale on the no.10.

Worth pointing out they have a CL semi on Weds..... might dictate team selection/ overlook us a bit ??

Think you could be right. KDB if fit could be saved for Wed. He is in the same boat as Kane. Pep will prioritise the CL over the league cup but will still put out a very team against us.

City's team is stronger than Spurs' with or without De Bruyne, let's face it. Gundogan, Bernardo and Foden all walk into Spurs' midfield.

Whatever happens, it relies on City having an off day for Spurs to winm

So it will be more than likely Diaz & Laporte. He could even rest Diaz and play Ake & Laporte against us, as PSG on Wednesday is much bigger. Especially with the fitness concerns of Kane, he could rest Diaz to keep him fresh for Wed. Pep has lots to ponder...

Subbed off early in Wednesday night, it would be nice if Ndombele put in a performance as he did for Lyon a few years ago when they played City in the CL

Hopefully Sonny takes his clown shoes off..... He’s been crap for the past few weeks

I would expect city to rest the majority of their first X1, which gives us a chance.

I certainly think we have more of a chance than if Jose were still here.

There’s are a few NDombele fan boys on here who have been dining out on 2 games vs City for the past 2 years....... It would be about facking time..... Needs to start bossing games...... perhaps Mase could show him a video of Dembele in his pomp
