I kinda feel we may go 3 at the back - i think it was a certainty if Jose was still here.

When you look at what an average Arsenal team did in terms of exposing the right side with Bale of the pitch then City will wear the grass out on that side if Bale plays in a 433. In a 433 it really would make sense to have Lamela wide right as he gets up and down and puts a foot in. Cannot see us dropping Bale and let's face it, Levy's picking the team and he wants his big gamble on the pitch.

I think our best chance of success is with a 3 at the back:

........................Hugo....................

.............Toby.......Rodon.....Dier....
Aurier.......................................Reggie
.................PEH..........NDomb.............
Bale............................................Son
.......................Kane............................

When we beat them Jose kept us very narrow and made them cross to the midget forwards. City like to get to the bye line and cut it back, so i think we need to pack the box and make them cross it from wider.

Mason is so out of his depth here. Best coach in the world vs the newest & youngest.

Rodon cup tied & I think we all agree Sanchez is a shocking prospect

City have only conceded 3 or more goals in a single match once this season and that was when Leicester put 5 past them when they started Garcia and Ake at CB and Leicester got 3 penalties

They've only conceded 2 goals in a single match 4 times

I don’t think it’s that unlikely tbh.

Lloris & Bale are proven champions and could well come up big.

City are an elite side but the key is weathering the early effect of their passing carousel.

We did that last season in the FA Cup SF, and then Auba & Pepe made easy work of them.

Also leaves us even more outnumbered in midfield than we would be already

I would expect city to rest the majority of their first X1, which gives us a chance.

I certainly think we have more of a chance than if Jose were still here.

Why would Spurs have more chance without Jose. Haven`t Spurs beaten City twice out of the last three with Jose.

I get the hate for Jose, but come on, Spurs have no more or no less chance of beating City with or without Jose.

Saying Spurs have a better chance of beating City without Jose is just utter garbage, to fit the Jose hating agenda.

Nice praise from Lloris to Mason

Let`s get one thing right, City are a very good side, but they are certainly not unbeatable. I think Spurs have a more than decent chance of beating them if they get their act together.

If Kane isn't fully fit, don't start him, we'll be up against it enough as it is without starting the game with 10 men.
Moura for GLC is acceptable.
Tanguy higher up and Winks for GLC isn't worse case scenario either.

It's not often I agree with you Sandy but this is absolutely right. It's a final, anything can happen. It's not like they're a bogey side for us, if anything we're their bogey team.

This one always felt like a free hit so hopefully Ryan can give the team a much needed lift. I'll enjoy it either way.

GLC has to play in the middle, wasted out wide, I'd also play Winks instead of Ndombele would move the ball quicker, realise its controversial on here, but Ndombele is too ponderous, gets caught in possession too often, Premier League too quick for him im thinking

I think I've had that feeling before every final we've ever played in, even the CL final 2 years ago.

In League Cup terms there's a big difference between facing Avram Grant's Chelsea and Pep's City. Weirdly, as much as I didn't want him at the club anymore, we've got less of a chance of winning without Jose. He plays the kind of anti-football Pep hates. We've had quite a lot of success playing that way against them. I think Mason will be so desperate to avoid the anti-football style, he'll overcompensate and we'll be really naive defensively.

Id love to believe we can do it but this this will play perfectly into the post-match narrative that we made a mistake and that the treatment of Jose was unfair etc. I watched Premier League Tonight on BT last night and they were all saying that. They pulled up a stat that said if you were to take Jose's entire Spurs record into account, we'd be 4th. I can't quite get my head around that. Either everyone else has been dogshiiiiiittt or we've missed an opportunity to win the damn league. We've played some dreadful anti-football, the players have zero confidence yet the average position was 4th. Imagine where we'd be with a manager that likes to get the ball down and play!
