Though I am less worried about the trophy haul as much as I am in the gutless performances that I see this team in big games.
If you watch City, they played well but they also played dirty and cynical game. Every attack we mounted was halted by their players, fouling, pulling or pushing our players.
Our players didn't have a fight in them and were very much trying to get through the game as quickly as possible.
This habit of pointing at your teammates, so you don't get given the ball and don't have to take responsibilities, is the most cowardly act any player can commit in a match.
Sissoko was full of pointing fingers and yet when he needed to be strong and brave in that crucial header that led to the goal, he was like a paper, collapse under the weight of Laporte.
Some of out players are stealing a living.
Gutless and cowards.

Liverpool didnt show up in the CL final.. they didnt need to... because they were playing spurs and there was no danger whatsoever of us turning up.
going in at 0-0 yesterday, and the better start we made from 45 - 60 mins... we were well in the game... yet we created virtually nothing as our big players didnt show up, and our manager got the subs wrong, and in true spurs style we let in poor goal at the other end and had no spine whatsoever to mount a recovery.
Just a meh football club. Around to make up the numbers.

I think Sissoko was brought on because Bale was brought on, Aurier needed some help and Bale does not track back well enough, so the solution was meant be Sissoko, unfortunately Sissoko is so bad that it just invited more pressure and inevitable conceding of a goal.

sissoko is an incredibly limited footballer, but he doesnt select himself. in my opinion he t ries his hardest.. he just offers nothing. therefore the blame lies with those selecting him.
HOW HOW HOW was bringing sissoko into that game when we were searching for a goal the right move????!!!!! with ndombele on the bench??????

he was clearly not fit. im not really blaming him, we cant go into games against top sides with passengers... if anything bring him off the bench.
against city you cant stand off them, you have to close them.. presses have to start from the front or they dont really work... as you will always have the out ball... with kane unfit and unable to do so we ended with the first half which we saw..
same happened in the cl final.. where again Kane wasnt fit.
Nothing will change until we get new owners, the one common factor in our miserable existence is ENIC, Lewis and Levy. I have been saying it for years, they have no interest in making us trophy winners, they just want to see CL and profits.
They have had numerous opportunities to push us on from promising positions to possibly win things, and have stood still every single fackin time, the balance sheet is king where ENIC are concerned.
20 years of these clowns is more than enough, I had enough of them years ago, and will not be spending another penny on Spurs until things change or they fack off out of it.

The players don't really have the hunger anymore. Look at their attitude under both Poch and Jose aside from good pros like Kane, Son, Hugo theres not much going on they are all comfortable financially for the rest of their lives why bother pressing the opposition.
City can continue to perform as they have hired the best manager in the world and are able to update their squad like football manager 2021. They are also owned by a human rights abusing oil polluting state so who really cares how "good" they are. Its dull.
Its not just Spurs look at Liverpool this year, Arsenal are an absolute mess. Its a game wide problem where everyone has gorged themselves on the never ending money and apathy has crept in. I honestly didnt even care that we lost yesterday which would have been unheard of 10 years ago.
The European fiasco was the obvious end of this ever grasping attitude to our national sport and probably should have gone ahead so we get the game we all deserve.
First half was awful, but second half was going pretty well until those ridiculous subs. Lucas was our best player on the day and I thought lo Celso was doing a decent job on the rare occasions we had the ball.
Bringing on Sissoko to play next to Winks and PEH was a joke. I'm not expecting a tactical masterclass from Mason but I expected better than that.
But to be honest, whatever team we put out, tactics we used, City were on top form and are many levels above us.
