Problem with the 'offer him what he wants' fans is they don't think of the knock on effect.
If Pogba gets 400k a week or even 450k a week then that pushes everything else up too. Bruno isn't going to be happy earning half what he does for example.
Like Roy Keane has said Pogba has been doing better of late but he's got a lot of making up to do for me. He's not come close to fulfilling his fee and the hype.
And that's going off the notion he actually wants to stay. Doesn't sound like he does when you listen to his agent and brother.
Has Pogba done enough in a red shirt to warrant being our top earner?
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Your hatred of Pogba is a pathological case. What’s your problem with him ?
----------------------------------------------------------------------
I don't hate him.
However his time at Utd has left me feeling cheated. He's been largely frustrating with only rare flashes of brilliance. His agent and brother have been an actual disgrace.
Go and listen to what Keano said about him on Sky only last week. "Paul Pogba is a huge talent but we haven't seen it anywhere near enough at Utd".
Keano as usual was spot on.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Of course you're right Glazers, people talk as if he was a Robbo, even at his best he's not close, and he's only at his best sometimes. Good but world class is having a laugh
Keep him. Get him to re-sign. Why would you get rid when you can get the type of form he's in now out of him?

Someone said "he's been playing well since December" out of a 6 year contract, he has managed to consistently perform for 4 months. That is worth making him our highest paid player. Fans need to start having some self respect.

If no meaningful bids come in, keep him for the rest of he's contract and let him go next summer.
I don't think we should be sweating it really... If we make the right signings we can replace him.
That being said I'd like to keep the feel good factor that currently seems to be running through the playing side... Pogba is a big part of that!

absolutely bizarre the nonsense spoken about this player, to listen to some people you'd think he's never had a good game for united before this season, spent 3 years dabbing in the centre circle as players run past him, and then last season faking an injury.
i honestly don't know what people have been watching for the past few years.

The best I’ve heard is whenever he has a decent game some say that’s his best game for United. The man hasn’t always been consistent but he’s had numerous great performances for United.

----------------------------------------------------------------------
it's genuinely f@cking weird, i've never seen so much sh!t spoken about one of a team's best players, and some people seem absolutely determined to hate him. and nothing he does, or could ever do, would be good enough for him.
as for consistency, in the 17/18 season he got 6 goals from open play, and 10 assists - from midfield - at a rate of a contribution every 134 minutes (bruno this season is at one every 149 minutes).
the next season he was our top everything - scorer, assister, chance creator - and became the first, and still only, outfielder to make the PFA team of the year since SAF left. again, from midfield, and playing under jose, and behind lukaku/sanchez/lingard.
pver his entire united career he averages a goal/assist at a better rate than gerrard or yaya toure, all this despite only playing well in 1 in 10 games. but sh!t, what a 10th game!
It’s baffling. I’m not gonna claim he’s been a glaring success for the fee that he cost but some seem determined to let on he’s been dreadful for United up until this season.
The fact is up until this season he’s often had to play with dross.
Pogba has probably been a success about half of the time he’s been with us. During that time he’s had to deal with new teammates coming in and out and new managers with a team that hasn’t performed all that well in terms of growth and progress.
That being said, as some pundits have said, he’s part of that team. He’s been brought in to be the player to make it happen for us. He’s a different player to Bruno but in terms of impact (and I don’t mean goals) Pogba hasn’t had that level of impact anywhere near often enough. That’s the reality.
I wouldn’t sell him unless we had to. I appreciate where Memphis is coming from but I cannot see the club keeping him and letting his contract run down and letting him go for zero (again). He’s a £50m-£60m player.
I reckon we will offer him a big contract again to keep him, if he doesn’t take it then I think we should line up a replacement (apparently there is some guy called Grealish on the scene) and then sell Poggers to Madrid or PSG etc.
I don’t think he deserves a bump in his contract, I think he deserves the same that he’s on now but I don’t think that will end up being enough to keep him.

absolutely bizarre the nonsense spoken about this player, to listen to some people you'd think he's never had a good game for united before this season, spent 3 years dabbing in the centre circle as players run past him, and then last season faking an injury.
i honestly don't know what people have been watching for the past few years.

The best I’ve heard is whenever he has a decent game some say that’s his best game for United. The man hasn’t always been consistent but he’s had numerous great performances for United.

it's genuinely f@cking weird, i've never seen so much sh!t spoken about one of a team's best players, and some people seem absolutely determined to hate him. and nothing he does, or could ever do, would be good enough for him.
as for consistency, in the 17/18 season he got 6 goals from open play, and 10 assists - from midfield - at a rate of a contribution every 134 minutes (bruno this season is at one every 149 minutes).
the next season he was our top everything - scorer, assister, chance creator - and became the first, and still only, outfielder to make the PFA team of the year since SAF left. again, from midfield, and playing under jose, and behind lukaku/sanchez/lingard.
pver his entire united career he averages a goal/assist at a better rate than gerrard or yaya toure, all this despite only playing well in 1 in 10 games. but sh!t, what a 10th game!
