You put out he’s for sale then clubs will look to lowball you and try to turn kanes head.

Best of to say he’s not for sale

I don't think anyone will pay £160m for him. Who's got that sort of money after the year we've had?

Levy will ask for too much, and Kane's killed his chances of a move to a big club by signing that contract. Good news for Spurs fans, I reckon.

I agree the club need to be decisive but now is far too early.

There is an outside chance of top 4 and IF a miracle happened and we achieved that then this makes a big difference in being able to keep Kane. It guarantees £50m minimum in extra revenue and will of course satisfy Kane far more than another Europa league season.

It may also influence the manager we get and what happens in the transfer window.

The moment the season ends, the hierachy and Kane need to sit down and agree and we either need to be 100% firm on him leaving or staying. If the former, then strict conditions to be met - fee and timing and the total commitment of Kane should these conditions not be met. He is under contract after all.

What we need to avoid is the standard Spurs off season of "will he wont he" uncertainty, last minute panic deals and starting next season on the back foot.

The need to agree the way forward before the Euros is essential as afterwards is too late to prep for 21/22 season.

The new manager needs everything working in his favour so that we can start the season well as a bad start will often pile pressure on which makes it doubly hard to settle in and build.

But the rumours will just keep on, and it will basically destabilise the club prior to next season.

I would sooner everybody just come clean. As I said there will be no haggling with the price, the club either pays it or Kane doesn`t go.

Rumours will keep on even intensify if you say he’s for sale even if you put a big number on it

Well if they won`t pay, then Kane stays, but at least that gets rid of all the rumours, and Kane can settle down to play for Spurs.

Absolutely, but it definitely needs to be sorted sooner, rather than later. The Kane saga must not just drag on, so that Spurs get destabilised once again going forward.

It might actually help if Kane got of the fence, and says what his intentions are himself. He knows he is under contract for another three years, but in reality that means SFA, and he can break that whenever he wants. But he needs to be honest with the fans, otherwise it will develop into another Berbatov, Modric, Bale situation.

Not really up to the club. If a player wants to leave, they leave 99 times out of 100.

The key to this in my opinion is Kane understanding the position.

As a Spurs boy and club legend and thoroughly decent bloke I'd expect him to have some respect for us in how this plays out....so the frank discussions about price and timing need to happen. Hopefully this avoids Kane rocking the boat if late offers, below our asking price come in.

+ Levy tax = £150m

Isnt this levy tax, Darth Levy stuff a bit 2015? Like he's had his pants pulled down plenty in the past few years whilst also missing out on various targets. We can all fo that.

Other clubs have sussed him out a plenty.

Levy thinks he is pulling masterstrokes of transfers, by getting Sissoko and the like, meanwhile the whole football world is laughing at him.
If Kane was looking to leave, and it won't matter a jot how much the baldy wanted for him.
Berba anyone?

£160m for a player with glass ankles that takes a six week sabbatical every season...

Good luck

So Kane's contract will run out when he's what, 29? 30? He will still be in good form by then and can still make a move to another club and win stuff at that age. From Kane's point of view I could see how he could be possibly persuaded to stay until his contract runs out and then move if he wants to, or negotiate a new contract if Spurs are succeeding in that time. All it means is Levy would be risking letting him leave on a free at 30, if he can't prove Spurs is worth staying for.

If Kane feels he wants to go then he'll go, no matter what the club do or say.

You cannot compare Berba to Kane.

Like comparing RSol to King in terms of character.

Kane has 3 years left. Some players are happy to stroll around putting in 70% effort while running down a contract. IN Berba's last season at Spurs, he barely tried for the first couple months after United had tried to buy him in the summer, then he picked up his game for a few months then after we won the League Cup he basically clocked off again. I remember watching one game late season when it was a hot day and he basically played only in the parts of the pitch which were in the shade.

Kane will not be going for less than whatever value Levy puts on him.

Yeh, I am sure Spurs are going to let one of the world's best strikers go for a little over £100 million. It isn't the funny season.

He has scored more than 3 times as many goals a Werner who cost £50m and thats not even mentioning assists.

So @ £150m, the maths stacks up

Funny comment seeing as even the mighty Liverpool have had to sell their top players who they'd rather have hung on to.

Its the way football is unless you are at the very top of the tree and can offer everything - wages, trophies more wages.
