Positive performance for sure.

The one negative for me was Saiss' performance again. I'm actually beginning to lean towards letting him go this summer if we sign a centre half or two. Which is a shame as I do like him, just think we need to move past utility players filling in.

Same for Dendoncker. He hasn't put in a good performance for weeks

A Burnley 1-1 would give me 51 points for the set

And you still won't catch me

I'd keep Dendoncker. I think he is a better player.

I don't think we need all of Saiss, Coady and Dendoncker. We need to move to buying players for a specific position, rather than having them fill in.

You could see it for the goal today. The whole of the back four needed to shift over one to allow Semedo to close the ball. Saiss was the centre back on the far side of the pitch who could see everything. You could see Semedo was waiting to be told he could leave the man he was on to go close the cross, but Coady had to turn and tell Saiss to take his man to allow it to happen; which allowed the time for the cross as it delayed Semedo closing. Then Saiss ran under the cross to allow the man he was then picking up a free header.

That goal was probably completely avoided with a proper centre back. Might even have seen Semedo get out and stop the cross completely had the communication been there.

Fair assessment Tam, we truly need specialist CBs like a proper partnership

Can we not just buy one, rather than 2 CBs buy a pair

I wouldn't keep Dendoncker, for me he is a totally negative player in midfield. He is always looking to play backwards and is certainly not skilful enough. He had got by so far by scoring goals but that has now dried up.

If we were to buy two decent centre half's then I would agree with letting Coady and Saiss go.
Vitinha looks a great prospect and a replacement for Moutinho.
Traore can go as well as Gibbs White.

I'd prefer us to loan MGW out. I think he is a good player, but he needs a run of games somewhere to see how he gets on. I think it was a mistake recalling him from Swansea if we weren't going to play him, as he was doing well there.

I reckon if we sell him, he will come back to haunt us some day.

Boly may have stopped the goal, but his form has not been the best recently

I don't think Boly is the answer either to be honest. I think his communication and being active in controlling the back line is the weakest part of his game. He wins nearly everything that comes his way, but needs someone to order him round for 90 minutes.

Could be that Ramadan is not helping Saiss, I'm sure it's being managed properly but can't help.

Nuno had hinted that Boly has not fully recovered from Covid-19

Looks like Boly might be out for a while:

Wolves manager Nuno Espirito Santo has been talking about defender Wily Boly, who missed today's game due to the effects of coronavirus.

"Wily is in a tough moment," he said.

"He was infected and was not able to train. His heart rate was very fast.

"I hope there is no other issue and he will improve but everyone has to realise, it is not one week or two it is a longer period you are affected for.

"His energy is not there, he feels tired and his heart rate is very fast. He is at home."

Yep looks like he hasn't reacted well to Covid at all.

Think today highlighted how important it is to give younger players games when the pressure is off and the season is effectively over and of course this season more than any other doing it without the added pressure of fans.

Could argue our best players today were Silva, Vitinha and Ait-Nouri.

Wouldn't argue about that, they were, with Patricio as well.

The only reason I can think for calling that back is if he thought the ball wasn't stationery... no, I don't even believe that!

Let's not kid ourselves. He called it back because he saw it as a chance to take a breather. You can see by his body language the second he gives the freekick that he has decided he is walking over to the spot.
