What about a Chinese Billionaire?

Every time you speak, you illustrate the fact that you do not share the views or basic values of the vast majority of United supporters.

Don't mind as long as they have deep pockets and aren't leeches like Glazers

I can bet that most United fans would love MBS or somebody like him as our owner. The sentiment is especially evident on reddit and Twitter.

OP should love the Glazers tbh. The ESL was literally made for fans like you.

I'd say Chinese billionaires would be the best option, then hopefully they'd move the club to China. 15:00 on a Saturday is a ridiculous time to be having matches. Some of us have things to do during the day instead of sitting inside watching TV. If we moved to China then our kick off times would be 22:00 UK time on a Saturday. A much more manageable time for our UK fans, who we should be putting first imho.

No thanks. Don't want a murderous human rights abusing regime at my club thanks.

posted on 3/5/21

Nope. I would not love MBS to take over, or a billionaire just for the sake of blowing others out of the transfer market just so you can blow farts on Twitter.
An owner that cares.
The Glazers wouldn’t be bad if they just cared a little more, moved a little differently.
Who actually has blown UTD out of the transfer market?
It’s been bad planning/decision making.

What is paramount is scouting the RIGHT players that fit. And the Glazers put football people in place to handle it.

If we become as rich as city then money may not be a factor in getting players. We may need to arm the club with nuclear weapons in order to gain the advantage over City in the transfer market. That would be pretty cool and good for the game.

You have an advantage on City already in the transfer market
You’ve already thankfully outbid us for Maguire Fred and Sanchez and have spent similar amounts over the last 10 years
You already have the most expensive defender and midfielder
City have never outbid Utd on any transfer target that I’m aware of

Who says we haven’t the money. We have the highest wage Bill of any team. UTD can get whom ever they want.
It doesn’t always come down to money.
A major factor is they are set up to win today. Right now.

Wasn't MBS behind the killing of some American journalist?

Nothing to see here.

All this MBS is a murderer is really over the top. Aren't the Abu Dhabi family murderers? You know, all rulers are murderers. It's just that some are better at hiding it than others.

If the public investment fund of Saudi do buy United, it would be great. Looking at how they have worked in previous projects, they wouldn't be really hands on, getting involved in everything. They'd be exactly how we all want. Appoint football guys to take over the day to day things and provide the funds.

It would also increase the United brand in the middle East.

That's not what I want op. Just an owner that runs us as a self sustainable business and who actually enjoys football.

all rulers are murderers

------------------------------------------------------------------------

To the best of my knowledge, to take one example, neither the Prime Minister nor the monarch Queen Margrethe II of Denmark are murderers. Not all rulers are murderers. Moreover, not all owners of football clubs are rulers, and not all obscenely rich people are murderers. As far as we know, Bill Gates isn't a murderer.

We can all differ on our criteria for ideal proprietors and ownership structures, but I'd have thought not wanting an individual or organisation that uses assassination as a means to maintain its power and wealth ought to be a low bar to clear.

Apparently ordered the murder of Khashoggi at the consulate. Not the type of man you'd want your club associated with.

2019/20 United had the third highest wage bill, behind city and liverpool. Citys wage bill was almost double United's

I think it would be a bad investment for him. The stadium would be empty.

So again, where’s the problem. Money isn’t the issue.
This plastic kind of thinking, wanting a sugar daddy to come in, it has to be more than that.
Roman and the City guys want to win.
The Glazers are business men. Very good business men.
Sure I want them out cos after so long, they have shown they still haven’t learnt a damn thing, and the act of betrayal is unforgivable.
But, the grass isn’t always greener, and people may not like this, but they can still turn it around by doing right by the club and the fans. Making smart footballing decisions.
