He's a great player, but what's a big shame is that Wilshere was just like this back in the days. Hopefully Foden is a better professional and stays clear of injuries

Phil Foden has made you decide Arsenal are crap?

No the football artistry on display today reinforced how abject we are at playing the beautiful game.

Foden is far better than Wilshere ever was. It's laughable that you even compare the two

Foden is lightyears ahead of the likes of Wilshere

Wilshere was never that great. Definitely one of the most overhyped English player in the last 20 years.

Had a good touch and good on the ball but didn't create or score goals and obviously a complete injury mess

He has more in his game than Wilshere at the same age.
Foden is destined for the top.

Wilshire never lived the athlete life which was his problem.

Wilshere was the most overhyped player of his generation, Foden has already surpassed him (quality wise) although there's still obviously a good chance he too doesn't match the current hype.

Ramsey was the bigger talent (imagine if he hadn't been Shawcrossed), but people here are being unfair to Wilshere. Next they'll be claiming Götze was never that good.

Now, do you think Foden's development as a footballer has overtaken Sancho's?

Foden impresses me more when I see him in the bigger games and for England, but Sancho clearly is a very good player and has done more at his age to suggest Foden isn't ahead yet.

Sancho: 130 appearances, 46 goals.
Foden: 129 appearances, 29 goals.

I don't have the starter/sub/subbed stats to hand. Pretty close, though. Sancho is only a couple of months older than Foden.

International stats a bit different: Sancho (18 apps, 3 goals; Foden: 6 apps, 2 goals).

They play different positions, I know, but there's not much in it.

Foden's won a lot more, but it's very hard to measure individual development on trophies. Think of how little Shearer won, for instance, yet it's hard not to acknowledge him as an EPL great.
