It is crazy we spent so little under SAF and so much after he left. No wonder why most people wanted Glazers out. The only reason we sold Ronaldo for so cheap at £80m was to pay for the glazers debt. I said back then selling him that cheap was ridiculous as we could keep him for many years and sell him for at least that much. That Ronaldo sale was the beginning of the demise of Man Utd.

He still had a few years on his contract and SAF said he did well to get another year but considering how bad a side Real had at the time we should have kept him at least another 3 years and then sold him for £80m which still would have been cheap. The fact we sold near the best player in the world in his prime for that cheap was disgraceful. Bale moved to Real for slightly more not longer after and his goal contribution at his club was nothing like Ronaldo.
Anyway congratulations to Man City. They threw there bodies on the line all game and were efficient at both ends. I have a feeling Zidane Real Madrid will win it as he just knows how to win it although Chelsea are the favourites going by hoe the 1st leg went.
