No doubt in the same breath you will be slating Levy for not spending more on better players
----------------------------------------------------------------------

Yep Smeg like loads of supporters moans about the prices to go to Spurs, but expects Spurs to match Man City pound for pound in purchasing expensive players.

For what it worth, football is far to expensive to watch, but then I don`t moan if Spurs don`t spend billions on players. You cannot have it both ways.
----------------------------------------------------------------------

Scanned through the whole article and can’t find anywhere that I state I expect levy to sign mbappe

As usual Sandy, you are making up rubbish.
----------------------------------------------------------------------

So I take it we will not hear a peep from you if Spurs don't spend a lot over the next few seasons.

I’m sure you’ll make up for it shandy with you’re
- best squad in the PL
- useless past it players

- spurs will win the quadruple with a bit to spare
- this bunch of losers will never win a trophy

- billionaires have ruined football
- wanted spurs to be part of the ESL & want a billionaire to buy us

You think charging £40 a ticket and making £1m less for a full stadium will effect how much they can spend on players?

It may only be Villa, but the club will have no problem selling 10,000 tickets at £60 a pop, so why sell them any cheaper? The club are running a business, not a charity.

What’s that got to do with your last point of needing to rinse fans for a Villa game to be able to keep up with City buying players? It’s £1m.

Can I just add for those not good with maths here. It’s a 10,000 attendee event; at the back of a devastating pandemic for fans. They could have charged the cat C prices they used to of £40 as an act of good faith and at worst it would hit their pockets by £200k which isn’t even enough to cover the agent fees for some of our cheaper signings - so let’s not get so high and mighty about demanding expensive summer signings.

Amazing how fans have only just realised they are getting fleeced by clubs, so they can play average players 100k a week.

The horse has bolted years back re prices. Everyone has a choice, you either pay it or you don't.

As much as it pains me to say, I’m with Sandy on this one. I imagine it costs a lot of money to put on a game and just the base cost of opening the stadium to fans will be extortionate so that needs recovering when you’ve only got 10,000 coming through the door.

I don’t want our club making a loss. They’ve had zero income all year so bring it on. It is a business after all and they don’t owe us anything. All we’ve done is give them grief all year

As Sandy says, they’ll be plenty willing to pay.

Good post. Of course we would all like to get in the ground for a cheaper cost. But even I am realistic to know that ticket prices have gone through the roof in the 21st century.

My first visit to WHL cost me 1s in old money. That's 5p in today's money.

Never mind though, I’m sure ‘true’ fans like you will make up for us poor folk. Enjoy your prawn sandwiches 👍

Smeg, I can assure you I do not eat prawn sandwiches at WHL. I agree with you that lots of been priced out, but it is not just Tottenham, it is football in general.

Problem is a lot of our supporters moan when Spurs do not sign the real big players, because they refuse to pay say more than £100,000 grand a week in wages. And are considered cheapstake because they only pay such low wages as £100,000 grand a week.

Players wages have more to do with why you cannot attend than anything else. The money for them has to come from somewhere, and tickets to watch football reflect the growing cost of players exorbitant wage bill.

Bring players down to a wage in the real world, and then just maybe that may be reflected in lower ticket prices.

It`s a vicious circle.
