I thought Marcal was one a one year deal, memory could be playing tricks though. He's looked good when he's been fit, which hasn't been often.
----------------------------------------------------------------------

I thought the same initially, but transfermarkt has his contract expiring in 2022.

I thought he was on a one year with an option, maybe they took up the option earlier in the season.

Either way I wouldn't be too worried if he went, good player but not much use if injured all the time. Unlucky really because he would have made the four at the back work a lot better I think

Despite only being a regular in the Sunderland team after they changed manager in the winter, and then having his season ended last month through injury, Dion Sanderson was voted young player of the season by their supporters

Keeper Sarkic is another who had to return to wolves early because of injury but he got rave reviews from Shrewsbury.

The Grasshoppers team of Switzerland, owned by the wife of our owner, are on the brink of clinching promotion to the top flight with Ronan and Bonatini two of their star performers

OK. I'll tell him.

Still only 33 is Patricio so will certainly want another move before his career winds down and Rome will be a very attractive proposition. If the rumour is true then we should be a little concerned.

It might be true, if it was complete bollax Herbert the troll would have announced it first.

A lot better Tino thanks. Have had shock treatment to regulate my heartbeat which was arythmic and a small operation to insert a IVC filter in my groin to stop the upward migration of blood clots.

I should probably get one of them filters, I'm bound to get DVT from sitting on my arss eleven hours a day every day with only biscuits for company.

Such is life working from home. Good to hear you're on the mend Gem.

THE WOLF

``Now is the Law of the Jungle---as old and true as the sky;

And the wolf that shall keep it may prosper, but the wolf that shall break it must die.

As the creeper that girdles the tree-trunk, the Law runneth forward and back---

For the strength of the pack is the wolf, and the strength of the wolf is the pack.''

The ongoing decline of Patrick Cutrone keeps going on. After failing at Wolves and Fiorentina he got a loan to Valencia. Made a few sub appearances early on but for most of his time there he has been an unused sub. In recent games he hasn’t even been making the bench.

Still got a year left on his contract at wolves so I guess he’ll be back here in the summer. We will try to offload him permanently or on loan but his choice of clubs isn’t going to be great from now on

If Wolves had finished 7th in the Premier League again this season we would have qualified for the new Europa Conference League. There’s going to be some pretty low ranked teams in that which won’t make it very attractive or profitable, but would make it winnable for whoever qualifies from England

Have yet to get my head around European qualification for this season, presumably we have a one less Europa league spot this season to accomodate this Conference league, or does third Europa place not cascade down to 7th now?

I don’t like it. It’s basically a revamped inter toto cup.
