He should really get a full season

He'll stay at PSG, they had a good CL run.

However, I don't think it would be a good idea for him to return. He'll face the same problems as before and won't be backed by ENIC.

We need someone fresh in to start the painful rebuild.

Yes he can come back today and I would be very happy.

Morning Sandy, I think its a bit like getting back together with an x girlfriend in that the things that prevented it working the first time will pretty quickly get you again.

He'd be mad to come back, our squad is full of lazy flat track bullies that would throw any manager under the bus.

Personally I think he would jump at the chance. His options will be very limited if PSG give him the sack so quickly after appointing him. Not likely to get any other so called big job I wouldn`t think.

Not that good, they got to the final last season. It won`t be up to him either. PSG will be ruthless as with previous managers. Don`t frankly see him surviving past this season.

That may be the case Eddie, but if he cannot win the French League with the players he has at his disposal, then I would think his days will be numbered. PSG have won the last half a dozen league titles. Even Tuchel got the sack after he won them the league last season. This would be seen as an epic failure, however it is dressed up.

I agree, things will not have changed much. But up against some of the other contenders, even I think he may be the best choice. He would have to move forward though on a shoestring.

There doesn't seem much out there at all which makes the decision to get rid of Jose so close to the end of the season even more ridiculous.

It's like that but after you've realised that you've fked up and that titty blonde ain't a good partner material.

Now you need to woo your ex again, with tails between your legs, and act like a puppy but this time if you do buy her rings etc then it will be at Harrods and diamond encrusted!

None of that cheap H. Samuel stuff

Yes but having not sacked him after the Wolves, Brighton or Zagreb games (all showed the players weren't interested) we might as well have kept him until the season ended.

The LC final performance couldn't of been worse if Jose had still been in charge.

I'm not sure if he would get sacked from PSG if they weren't to win the league this season and Tuchel got sacked for other reasons rather than his success, it's more because he fell out with the owners like he did at Dortmund as well. The same will probably happen at Chelsea in a couple of years.

Bielsa is the manager you should be wanting. Even as just a stop gap for a couple of seasons.

I think Roy Hodgson is likely to leave Palace at the end of the season. You'd have to think that if Poch gets the sack, he'd end up at Palace.

Sorry mate but Bielsa just doesn`t rock my boat. He is 65 now, and not won anything, other than a Championship with Leeds. Spurs rebuild will take four or five years, by that time he will be pushing 70. Is that the young progressive coach Spurs really want?

You had Poch who hadn't won anything but that has been Spurs at their best for god knows how long. You've tried Mourinho who has a track record of winning trophies and that didn't work either for one reason or another.

The Spurs rebuild might take 4/5 years and I understand why the club would want a young, progressive coach (which is probably why you won't go for Bielsa) but at the same time, Bielsa's style would suit your players and he would get you back into the top 4 in a couple of seasons. A 2 year contract, let Bielsa get you into the CL, shake hands then and that should make the rebuild much easier as you'd be able to attract the players and managers.

That had crossed my mind. Poch is not liable to get offered much other than say a mid table Prem job, if say Spurs don`t offer him the job.

What makes you so sure Bielsa would get Spurs back into the CL in a couple of seasons with the current squad, I very much doubt it. Bringing a team up from the Championship, then having them mid table, is miles away from taking a team into the CL.

Because of his style of play and the squad he has at Leeds is actually probably one of the worst in the PL, yet they are in the top half of the table. An experienced manager with a great philosophy and is widely regarded as one of the best coaches in world football by many. You don't have that sort of reputation by being not good enough and I think he'd be able to get Spurs' current squad into the top 4.

But, by contrast, why would Graham Potter at Brighton be the right man to take Spurs forward, as many Spurs fans seem to suggest?

You laugh at Bielsa who has managed to take a squad of Championship players to the top half of the PL within 3 seasons and, as said above, is regarded as one of the worlds most influential coach, but yet Spurs fans are wanting Graham Potter to take over. What's Potter done to deserve even being in with a shout of the Spurs job? Because he plays good football?

Yeah, it was again obvious against Leeds that some players have downed tools and are half heartedly turning up.

Lamela is one for sure. He is looking for a move away. Dier looks fed-up, Aurier with an eye elsewhere too. Reggie isn't confident anymore, and Kane is losing his interest too.
