😎 I was thinking the same thing. 👍
IF and only if it was used to give our young players(and a few main squad players for fitness) some experience & allow our main squad to focus on domestic competition then it wouldn't be the wort thing ever plus it would give a bit extra money

Well it’s really simple, if Arsenal put out kids UEFA won’t be happy - and we may simply not have players to do that anyway. I would also add that we should do it for the League Cup but we don’t really, the clubs (including us) are always complaining about fixtures with the League Cup.

UEFA have no power on who we select.
And we need the Europa at a minimum.
It's never going to be thought of as prestigious isn't the Conference, but for bigger clubs with good academies who've had a really bad season the year before....not mentioning names.....then it could be a bit of a bonus. Play the U23s throughout, great tournament football experience for them as there will be plenty of clubs from smaller nations who really DO want to win it, giving it a competitive boost. Fans will have to risk taking a bit of flak because their team of 18 and 19 year olds drew a game away with a team from Finland, but who cares, its still more chance for you to watch your team, which no matter the competition we all enjoy anyway.
We have some talented players coming through the Academy, but the best will go out on loan. In fact, though they’ve suffered a couple of injuries to key players, one of the main reasons the U23s have struggled this season is due to having to play a lot of lads that currently still qualify as U18s - Miguel Azeez, Joel Lopez for example.
The Academy also started recruiting a number of players released by other clubs. And, in the main, they haven’t looked good enough.
So no, qualifying for the EC wouldn’t mean we could just ‘play the kids’. There would need to be at least a certain number of the first team squad involved too.
Yes, we need European football next season. Do we need this competition though?
Judging by the format of it, I really don’t know.

How else do we get into the Europa League.
How low have we sunk to be discussing how to get into the Europa League
This isn’t about qualifying for the Europa League though.
We need at least 7th to get Conference
Spurs in pole position
Better than no European football
Is it though?
I mean, have considered the implications verses any potential benefits?

Europa Conference, mate.
Win that and qualify for the Europa League!
Well, I’d hope for that to be achieved, as a minimum, via the PL season next time out.

Depending on who we sell including those on loan we could use AMN , Willian , Willock , Kolasinac, Cedric/Bellerin , Nelson , Mavropanos, Saliba , Elneny plus some of the players from our u-23’s such as Azeez & Balogun
Of the senior players you’ve listed there, I’d imagine only Cedric, Elneny, Saliba and possibly Willock are likely to be with the club next season.
Looks like Mavropanos will loaned again. The rest sold.
It is difficult to conclude if being in the Europa the last few years has helped or hindered youth progression.
For example, would Bukayo have got his chances in the first team without it? On the other side of the argument, would Joe Willock have gone out on loan earlier and had more regular football and improved more without Europa?
4ever gives a list of players we would keep if we get in. Keeping them for the sake of the Conference seems a bad idea, most we should be getting rid of. No Europe gives us a chance to streamline the squad.
Personally, I would take Conference football and hope we win it. The more football the better, and I'd take any European trophy after so much starvation. But I can also see many negatives.
All pretty irrelevant as we are going to finish 9th.
