liverpool had played 2 games since the 24th april prior to last night.... we have played 3 games since the 6th of may.
yes performances were poor, we looked mentally and physically drained, but lets be clear here... this isnt fulham that have spanked us, this is a liverpool who won the league last season, and depsite indifferent form are still full of top class players.
anyone expecting ys to be able to compete last night in terms of fitness and sharpness need to get a fecking grip

We're actually in good form. I think we may even be top of the form table somehow.
I would expect those 3 chances to be goals most of the time. All 3 were harder not to score.
No excuses for last nights dreadful performance. Ole should have torn them all a new one and said so in the press.

Explain how Liverpool had a higher expected goals than United then?
Bennyville they were all great chances. That is the flaw of XG as it doesn't take into account sometimes the situation.

And the fact it largely means fack all
last 2 games = two thirds of losses in last 5 months That's one of the most contrived stats i've ever seen
The Leicester game was just too much rotation - all sides are vulnerable like that. Last night's game was something else though. It was two sides with lots of talented players and also some structural crapness in midfield and defence. It was a race to see who could more effectively exploit the opposition's crapness. And Liverpool won. Which I would be concerned about if I supported United. In the end Pool wanted the win more - understandably.

I’m not that concerned. We’re a tough side to beat usually when it matters.

This doesn't make sense though. The chances are either rated for difficulty or not.

But can we just turn it on and off like that.
It’s fine playing well and losing. Playing bad and losing is a tough pill. There’s no excuse. They were rested.
I think there needs to be a protest against the McFred pivot!
I am seriously concerned about Villarreal after that performance last night, we were utterly clueless in midfield and defence, if Harry isn’t fit this season could end on a very low note which would be a big disappointment.
