I swear, everytime I see Fred Apologising with his hand up.... I could’ve sworn there was a point he left his hand up 10 seconds straight. I think he was apologising for his previous mistake and the next mistake he was gonna make all in one go!!

City defend with eleven players, as do Liverpool, Bayern and Inter.
Part of United’s problem this season has been in defending with eight or nine men, instead of ten or eleven.
Fred is a championship level player. McTominay who is out of form is a much better player than him.
Although we need someone in the mould of Fabinho/Fernandinho who can sit and break up attacks and distribute the ball quickly. Even players like Kante give away the ball plenty when under pressure.

Think Ole has done a decent job this year, to finish 2nd and possibly one cup is a good season, but sometimes there are some continuous errors he keeps making. Zonal marking is one, we have been pi$$ poor with set pieces yet not seen anything change at all year. Insistence of playing out from the back, that cost us yesterday and few other times this season. Sometimes its better to just hoof it away, especially against a team like Liverpool who are so good at pressing, what Shaw was thinking for the 3rd goal yesterday I have no idea.
Can we challenge for the title next year? well if we keep making the same stupid mistakes, we'll be fighting for 4th as I don't see Liverpool or Chelsea being as bad next year.

He's always going to be a frustrating player but Ole overplaying him hasn't helped

Weirdly, for the first time ever I don't want to pick a fight with the OP for what he/she's written. Everything there's up for reasonable debate.
As an non united supporter I think the Scottish kids way better than Fred. Fred may keep running and make himself available but I don't see what he offers. At least the kid gets stuck in and gives 110% every game, whilst generally doing his job.
If pogba could look consistent then I think more would be made of Freds costly mistakes. Fernandes loses the ball more but it's because he is trying to unlock teams. Fred seems to turn over possession loads just trying to do the basics.
The new signing must be scratching his head, I do wonder what ole sees in training.
