Interestingly after Everton's defeat yesterday it gives Leeds a realistic chance of still finishing Eighth and If Man u win the Europa League then surely that opens up an extra spot for the Champions league and that would mean 8th position in the Premier league would qualify for the Europa league.
———
It doesn’t. England only have seven places for European competition, and two for Europa. 7th gets the Europa Conference League, pretty unlikely Leeds finish that high.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
I didn't know that so thanks for clearing that up.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
No worries. Looks like that Brighton game was the killer, would have had an outside chance with a win there.
That we’re even talking about that shows what a brilliant season Leeds have had, though.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
If Chelsea finish 5th & win the Champions League that would mean 5 English clubs finish for the Champions League though.
What happens then?

Just checked the wording and I think that scenario would mean 8th place qualifies for Europe but not 1005 certain

They sacked one of his closest footballing friends and his protégé, I have a lot of friends who are Spurs and none of them can understand that decision. Bielsa values loyalty and integrity, that decision shows neither
----
The fack are you on about?
I mean, it's very unlikely that Bielsa would move on cos for all he's genius he's clearly a bit mental, and letting someone like that run a football club really isn't the best idea long term. I'm glad it's going well for Leeds and everything but you need to lay off the Kool aid
----------------------------------------------------------------------
You don't think he will have talked to Pochettino and taken note of what happened there. A good manager held in high regard by Spurs fans but inexplicably sacked by glory hunting Levy to appoint Maureen?
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Inexplicably? You, and by extension your mates, clearly missed the last year or so of Pochettino's time at Spurs. The cup run aside were awful. And he clearly wanted out. Sure you can debate the reasons why it got to that point, but to make out as if we sacked him out of the blue is just silly. And to think Bielsa would make his decision based on that is very naive.
Like I said, we wouldn't bend to him as much as he'd want. Didn't he get involved with the design of your training facilities and stuff? I love the guy, he sounds brilliant, but I suspect there's a reason he hasn't gone to a big club. And it won't be because his mates tell him stories
----------------------------------------------------------------------
he has gone to a huge club lad, you are disillusioned
Not sure you've used the right words there but ok.
Have Faith, it would mean there’s five in the CL, one in the EL and one in the ECL. So as you were with the top seven qualifying. There cannot be more than seven clubs from one league competing in European competition. Seventh is the lowest that anyone can ever qualify for it through the league.
don't wonna be in europe, next season not even on holiday
I see Kane officially wants to leave Spurs and play for a Premier League side in the Champions league so I think Levy will have his hands full dealing with that and the new manager speculation will take secondary importance.

Bielsa knows that he is delivering a project. He is proving that his way works. You can make any team of players 10x better through brilliant management and a style they can learn and understand.
He was given the chance to build a method, and not one player stays if they don't buy into it 100%. Pontus a case in point.
He also knows that the top brass leave him to get on with it - they are not only enjoying the ride but they are hanging onto his coat-tails with everything they can.
They brought him here and have given him exactly what he wanted - but they now know he is also keeping them on top.
Bielsa will not leave Leeds until he feels his job has been well and truly done - or the board start interfering.
Principles got him to where he is - he lives by them and expects others to do the same. There is no chance he would consider going to somewhere like Spurs.

He came in and one of the first things he did at the training facilities was order an electrician in to straighten the light switches and plug sockets out and set them so they were easy on the eye, that's where we found he wasn't one that didn't take detail seriously!..
And top clubs, he doesn't look at the size of a club, he looks at the system from top to bottom, the people at the club, decides if he thinks he can work with them, than talks a contract!..
He will not come in when a season has started, and he will not work for anyone that he doesn't trust, a reason why he leaves contract talks till Pre season, if anything goes against his way of thinking than he'll go!..
So, one year contracts make it easier for him but at the same time, makes it easier for the club, one loses faith in the other then they can call it quits!..
As for Spurs, I think he's one who wouldn't have anything against the club, but no way would he work for their board!..
