I'm surprised there has been no talk of Son leaving at all. Surely he's too good to be spending his prime years in the banter Cup with Hibs?
----------------------------------------------------------------------

Once the media and pundits are done selling Kane for us they will move onto Son

I’m not usually bothered by the media and pundits but every single one of them is on a mission to shift Kane for us

Knowing how pig headed levy can be it may be working against what Kane wants and levy may dig his heels in harder

He doesn’t like to lose
----------------------------------------------------------------------
No Kane is just way too good for Spurs and all non-Spurs fans can see it. It's not a witch hunt.
----------------------------------------------------------------------

Oh and I forgot about rival fans constantly telling us we aren’t good enough for him

We know! But doesn’t mean we don’t want to keep him or otherwise how to become good again!!

We need to build round him

Did Liverpool fans constantly get told gerrard was too good for you?

Nope did it think so

He knew it though and tried to leave ....
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Yes, we constantly got told Gerrard would move to Chelsea...

And Torres, and Sterling. We were mediocre in those days but it wasn't an anti Liverpool witch hunt.
----------------------------------------------------------------------

I get what you are saying and this isn’t a SteveF propaganda type post

Just fed up with reading everyone’s views on it is all

Tottenham fans want Kane to stay

But the more people in his ear about going will only mean one thing.....he goes

Be nice to read someone listing reasons for him to stay

I realise that’s harder than finding reasons to leave!

----------------------------------------------------------------------
FWIW I don't see him leaving.

Nobody can afford him, there are better options out there. I'd argue both Haaland and Mbappe would go for cheaper or similar money and they are arguably better long term propositions.
----------------------------------------------------------------------

I think PSG, City and United could all afford him. As could Chelsea but Levy won't let that happen. If it is true that City did enquire last summer, then there is every chance they'll be back in for him this summer. FFP has been rolled over due to Covid and City can 100% go big this summer. I think it's pretty much done to be honest. Kane certainly expects to be gone.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
I think United is more realistic tbh. City don't tend to do massive signings and I can see them waiting for Haaland.

Kane did say he wants his transfer settled before the Euros. Until a team is nominated with a convincing bid, he remains at Spurs.
So if it is not settled by early June I don't see much happening after that, besides the media speculation which is just that.
Once Kane mentions the team he wishes to go to and it is made public knowledge , that will be that. So far all is mum on that front.

I still want Marcelo Gallardo. He is Poch with Trophies. Another Argie and Bielsa pupil. He would be perfect for us. Won a cup match the other day playing a midfielder in goal and with just 11 players at his disposal due to covid.

Highly rated by Pep too. Although I have also read he is very fond of Real Madrid.
----------------------------------------------------------------------

Not being funny mate but I think most of us could manage in the Argentine league. There’s only 2 or so teams that are competitive in that league. I have seen his name mentioned a few times on Spurs community. Why the clamour for a guy so unproven ? No European football experience whatsoever

Yup the media do seem to have an unhealthy obsession with Spurs and wanting to move on all their best players. Not a peep about Everton selling Daniel Calvin Lewin or any of their better players, same with Arsenal even though they have absolutely no European football, same with any of the Leeds players. Always seems to just be Spurs players the media are looking to move on. Obviously a ploy that they think it will weaken Spurs.

The media will then start posting nonsense how Spurs always seem to sell their best players.

Yeh agreed. Even Grealish gone all silent. Surely if anyone should be leaving a club doing nothing it’s Grealish. Why no media outcry for this ?

Spurs would be a great place for him learn. Plus he has Ossie and his mentor in the league to help him out. The prem is a global and everyone watches it. Why wouldn't he?

I don't really care if he has European or English experience. I just want the new man to implement his philosophy and if he has a few titles to his name, even better. Football is a global language. Gallardo has a proven philosophy which Bielsa and Poch have both used to great effect in the prem.

Typically english attitude to disregard any league outside of England. Very naive. I mean what if we appoint Ten Haag from the dutch league?

When you look at the pool of managers who are in a job (which one would assume they are in otherwise we would have appointed someone by now)and are actually attainable, Gallardo has to be up there.

Of course if he did get the gig alot of Spurs fans would be in uproar because he is not a known name. But alot of Spurs fans are thick idiots. Alot what Potter but apart from playing nice football what else has he done and can bring to the table. I want a winner as our next manager.

Because he seems content to stay at Villa and become their Mark Noble. He only signed a new contract at the start of the season. He has showed his ambition by signing it and probably has a better agent than Kane.

The only way Kane is leaving is if Levy gets a world record fee, I’m 100% sure Kane will be us next season as I can’t see anyone paying £200 million to sign him

posted on 24/5/21

Don btw Gallardo has never won the league there but has won 6 other trophies. He has been regarded as the best River Plate manager of all time by their chairman.

Alot of Spurs fans enjoyed the football and consistency of Poch so for me he would be ideal.

I'd back Levy to get top dollar for Kane, but he is hopeless at selling deadwood these days. He will set unrealistic prices for the likes of Dier and Sanchez and the new manager will be lumbered with these clowns.

Levy needs to set fair valuations on these players for there to be a clear out.

Levy and everyone knows £200m is pie in the sky. It's to basically say to City and Utd "you ain't getting him cheap" to detract low ball offers. Anywhere round the £150m mark gets him in my onions. Ch ch ch fecking ching.

Not disregarding any league outside England, I’m disregarding the Argentine league which is a poor league. Isn’t very hard mate to win trophies with River plate when Boca Juniors are pretty much your only rival. He might be good, but at least Ten Haag has done a fantastic job with Ajax in the CL too. He has developed that Ajax team and they were probably the best team in the CL the year we made the final. I would like my manager to have had a bit more experience than managing bloody River plate sorry

To be honest I wasn't a fan but his team play excellent football. Would be good to see if he can replicate that style with our squad. I'm at a point now where anyone will do. It's been going on for too long but praying Levy gets the right man.

Potter, Ten Hag, Rodgers. Anyone of these three will do for me.
