Probably to replace Falcao tbh, don't see him playing again for us even if he stays this month. Tbh we need a striker because Remy is constantly injured and Falcao is too and Costa is prone to injury/suspension. Remy I like but with his injuries he's not a reliable back up. Even as a loan though Pato doesn't make much sense unless we're planning on bringing in a bigger name striker in summer to accompany Costa. Bamford is back, whilst I don't think he's good enough for Chelsea, he could probably do the job as third choice till summer.

At least it's a silly signing that isnt blocking a youth player, Bamford not good enough, Solanke out on loan, Abraham not ready for our first team, Traore probably not big enough to be a loan striker in England, he'll be a winger.

Lavezzi was quality 4 years ago, like Pato would be a weird signing. Whilst we need some older heads im not sure Lavezzi is the right man for the job of bring experience and leadership.
