Sounds to me like he probably didn't offer enough, to me, and is trying to frame the Kroenke's as the villains to try and force the price down.

I imagine, but Arsenal are worth an insane price. If their potential and size was properly harnessed then they could easily be one of the best clubs in the world. For various reasons, that just hasn't been the case in recent years. That isn't all on the Kroenkes though.
