I don't see why not both. Why play with two holding midfielders?

If Declan Rice can be England's Rodri, they could easily play a 4-1-4-1 like City do.

dont think Serbia, Slovenia or Denmark would be against it either

I think Maguire is comfortable against those nations, it's only at the elite level he's found out.

England need a second cm next to Rice.

I don't want Henderson even near the squad. Although at this point I'd still choose him over Kalvin Phillips

100% he will be in the squad

better with TAA with Rice

Would definitely be exposed. And would be silly having Foden and Bellingham occupying same positions.

Would lose control in cm defensively and offensively

McTominay, Gilmour and McGregor would dominate that midfield anyway

Likes of Pep and Arteta have moved towards having more control from deep. Can’t say England going other way

Could see Gomez, Colwill or someone at left back for England for similar reason given Chilwell isn’t great
